If I had a degree in physcology I might say De La Hoya is exhibiting classic signs of a pathologically ***** whipped egomaniac with a god complex.

I don't know why you'll are all getting worked up right now, it's all just talk. If that is the biggest fight at the time, he will end up fighting Cotto if the demand is there. Oscar has never backed down from anyone.

Why doesn't oscar go back to fight mayorgas and vargas type boxers, then he'd actually win. He should stay away from the elites. Hell, he should retire. The guy has enough money as it is.

I think Oscar may be setting something up. He has always said No to Margarito because of the Arum thing but there friends again. I could see Oscar wanting a Margarito fight in LA on Cinco De Mayo. That would be huge

I don't understand what Oscar's thinking process is. fighting once a year? thats asking for trouble. He needs to be fighting twice a year. Hes asking for another beating.

I do agree with the other poster who said that Oscar would fight Cotto. Think about it, if Cotto beats Mosley then Oscar could kill a bunch of birds with one stone. 1st off the fight would be big because Cotto should get alot of buys against Mosley and with that great undercard. It will be a classic battle between PR & Mexico. He didnt get the win that many thought he deserved against Tito so now he gets a chance to take down PR's other huge star. He also gets to beat a guy who beat Mosley, which Oscar lost to twice. It would be like getting back those losses. He also gets to fight a guy who he knows will go toe to toe with him.

Most of all he gets to fight a guy that he thinks without a doubt that he can beat and get a ton of credit for it. I think he always believed that he could beat Floyd but could also see himself losing. I think he feels that he can definatly beat Hatton but wont get much credit for it. In this case he feels a 100% that he can beat Cotto and would get a ton of credit for it. That would be one of the most exciting fights in recent memory and Im shocked of how many people on here are picking Cotto. I would pick Oscar in that fight all day, unless he gets old overnight which could happened with him taking another year off. I dont think Cotto has any advantage over Oscar. Cotto is always the bigger man but in this fight he will be the smaller guy, Oscar is also faster, and Oscar is the harder puncher. Some might not agree with that but there is no way that Cotto hits harder then Oscar at 54 or 47. Cotto has no chance of winning at 154 but even at 147 I think Oscar brutaly knocks him out with that left hook
