some of the ufc fighters i like, like the ones that are actual athletes and have great fighting skills. but the average evreyday bar brawler / ufc fighter is not high up in my book. but i can watch any boxer any day of the week!!

There are many, many, many, elite athletes competing in MMA.

I think anyone would be very hardpressed to name a subpar athlete that has competed in the UFC in the last 10 events.....

yeah, a lot of people lump athletes who do any type of cage fighting/toughman contest as "UFC"

That's how big UFC has gotten. People call any MMA fighting "UFC" like they would call a facial tissue a "Kleenex" or any soda/cola a "Coke"

At the lowest level, there are little-skilled folks doing MMA but there are boxers like that too. Unforunately, those are the only folks willing to fight in Indianapolis for the most part, so I have to drive a little to watch a higher caliber fighter in person...

Sometimes I watch UFC, sometimes I love it, but mostly only the championship fights, cause they are usually the ones that require tactics and need a lot of skill. Sometimes I hate it because I just see streetfighting without real beauty to it.
