Was anybody else impressed with DLH's effort in the PBF fight?

I certainly was and Oscar showed me that he still has a lot left in the tank. If only he would fight twice a year. His handspeed was still relatively quick and his defense wasn't bad at all. He kept Floyd from darting him for the majority of the fight. He pciked of alot of staright rights from Floyd. Althought Floyd landed some impressive shots. They came a little later when Oscar tired. But I think if DLH fought anyone else that night he would have come out victorious. I know this is way to late. But so what.

And I think it showed me he's closer to his prime than he is to being shot.

Physically, he's fine. DLH has just always been ****ty when it comes to the mental part of the sport. How do you go away from your jab when it's winning you the fight? His boxing IQ is nowhere near Mayweather's and that's why he lost the fight...

IMO that fight wasn't close 8 rounds to 4 in favor of PBF is as close as it could respectably be scored to me.

yeah i was impressed, however i was mad at him because he fought the fight people thought he should fight and a fight where if he didnt have succes into the mid rounds, he would be tired and it would be pretty apparent it would never work and just had opportunity to win a D if he kept his workrate up(which in the end he couldnt because he was tired....)and he shouldve known even with winning a close D it would be pretty obvious that everyone would be biased in favor of Floyd....

i think he shouldve fought in his usual style, box and flurry not chase stpuidily just because you have a good defense, it was the same mistake that cost him the first mosley fight....

Yeah his left jab was awesome for a round or two. I agree he lost as well. But I was impressed he did a good job of pressuring and his stamina was decent. But he showed he can still take a good shot. Who's the shoe in for May 2008? Or who will he more than likely face?

they both fought a very high level fight. maybe it wasnt as exciting as people wanted, but for me they did a great job. oscar fought great, and even though i wanted him to win, i think that pbf won the fight clearly.
it was very even until he ran out of gas imo

That's cool. I think it was a little closer than that. But I would say Mayweather definitley deserved the decision. It was very competitive it was a blow out. And I think Roger showed a little urgency to Floyd for him to step it up late.

On May 5th, Delahoya would have beaten Ricky Hatton , everybody Ricky Hatton has ever fought, most of the welterweight contenders, and ANY of the JMW contenders.

I thought that was a very, very good version of Oscar. He looked strong and fast. As I expected him to based on his training camp.

dlh only landed about 4 jabs in that fight so i don't understand how that was winning him the fight. if dlh would of continued to throw jabs floyd would of just adjusted and i thought floyd won the fight 9-3 and i never seen oscar throw the left hook which was so talked about before the fight

Yeah only problem was he was nervous as ****. He looked very tense in that fight. He wasn't as loose as he normally was. But I thought his fight game was right for the fight he just fell a little short. And to everybody else this thread is not to dispute the decision it's to talk about Oscar and his performace and how he would fair in the future.
