    Ice,

From a technical standpoint, I assume there isn't that wide a gulf among the most elite trainers. I'm assuming that Roger doesn't KNOW much more than Buddy McGirt, for example.

When I use "better", it is a subjective perception based on teh approach, and motivational style, that I see being applied.

Well, except for the Gatti fight. The fact that AG stood at range still baffles me. Buddy's instructions were INSANE. "don't worry, baby". After the fifth round, he told gatti "You still have six rounds to go". ****... that would have DE-motivated me if I was getting my head ripped off.

You know who's style I like alot? Brother ****m. (who i hadn't realized was Rock Allen's dad).

      family conflict SO WHAT

who cares ... do you think Floyd Jr even listens to his dad?

his father was shouting advice during the Diego Corrales fight. do you think FLoyd's corner even cared, or bothered to listen?

seriously all these "family feuds" are just something for the media to run with and if you don't realise that your a sucker.

did Floyd Sr. beat his son? no, its nothing like that, he's just overbearing, and feels left out, because his brother, Roger was a better professional than him, and now trains Floyd Jr.

*not to mention over half the time you can hardly even comprehend what Floyd Sr. is saying .. (he tends to mumble)

Naazim has developed MANY other standout kids besides his son Rock. Many more. My thing is this... and I know this to be very true.... a trainer is only as good as his ability to reach and influence the fighter he works with... I have trained several guys who did everything I said and completely trusted my judgement. I have also had fighters who listened to a degree... but also were somewhat set in their ways by the time I got them and couldn't or wouldnt bring themselves to fully get away from their old ways. Believe me when itell you... Roger could train guys that Foyd would have zero influence over... and vice versa. That's why there isno way to say who is the true best. The fighter added to the mix means a lot

Mayweather is a plum for dancing while training to fight hatton, what is he doing? if he takes hatton lightly and loses he deserves it, i'll wait for the legendary videos of floyd training (the ones where he eats and trains at the same time lmao, or hits the speed bag with a can of coke in his other hand lol) before i make my final judgement.

roach cant do **** if his fighters arent very confiident or hyperactive machines...DLH and Hopkins both looked bad in a way under roach's training...look at the difference in vazquez between the 1st and 2nd marquez fights

I don't think he is taking Hatton lightly but I also feels he knows somethings about the way he is capable of fighting Hatton that we don't know. Also who is to say that he makes it to the finals of Dancing with the Stars. I really think he is doing this to get his name and brand more mainstream coverage and I think its great. It is already working a sportswriter on that ESPN show Around The Horn talked about PBF being on Dancing with the Stars yesterday. So imagine as the fight draws near PBF being on a few episodes of the show(then being eliminated) then the city tours to promote the fight more people will tune in for the fight especially when you add in the race factors and the U.S. vs. Britain factors this is going to be a huge fight.
