even if it doesnt help him, it wont hurt him, and thats all that matters. his footwork is already superior to hattons, as is his balance, and handspeed, and skill, so how is adding a different type of WORKOUT going to hurt him in the ring. he can do the show and still train his ass off. it aint like he has a job to go to in the morning. yea the show is demanding, and mayweather is one of the best athletes in the world, so i have a sneaky su****ion he'll be just fine... know why he didnt do any additional thing but train in his other huge fights?? cuz those fighters were threats (sort of), and he wanted to put his all in the fight, hatton is a miniscule threat to mayweather. sorry if hatton fans feel like mayweather doing this show is so bad, but it aint. maybe ur upset cuz its a slap in the face of hatton for mayweather to do a tv show while training for the "biggest challenge of his career" (lol), but it is what it is people, if hatton was a world class elite, mayweather would be dancing with his sparring partners, not with the stars, so it doesnt pose bad on floyd, it poses bad on ricky....

    sorry y'all.....

People act like all Floyd has to do is go to the dance studio and dance/train.

There are launch parties, media events, rehearsals, production meetings, agent/manager meetings, photo shoots, etc.

This is a primetime television show...with all the responsibilities associated with a major TV programme.
Don't mean to get off the subject but NICE AVTAR!!! Who is that?

Floyd fans will try and spin this but the fact of the matter is he is, he doesn't seem to be 100 % focused on this fight because if he was he wouldn't be doing "Dancing With the Stars". Are you ****ing kidding me. I f he takes Hatton lightly, he is gonna wind up with a 1 in the loss category, and I don't want to hear he is to smart, his work ethic, etc, etc. Bottom line, if your not focused, anyone can lose and that doesn't exclude Floyd.
I'm a Floyd supporter. And I agree with you.

Floyd built his entire career and his success on a single-minded focus on boxing. This timing is all wrong. Major distractions.

You just don't get it do you. This has nothing to do with his training. It is about his mindset and it is obvious that he is not 100 % focused on the task at hand. Your ****** if you think that Hatton is miniscule that is just ignorance. If he takes him lightly your boy could end up with a 1 in the loss column. Everyone can be beaten, especially if they are not focused.

Do we know yet exactly when the show & its commitments run from/to? This could definitely affect his performance, but I suspect (guess) it will only overlap with the beginning of training camp in which case it shouldn't be too bad.

It's good to see that there is a Floyd fan that is able to objective when it comes to him, not many are. I can completely respect that. Your right the timing is all wrong and if I was a Floyd fan I would be concerned.

I remember one of the training posters (might have been Fraidy) explaining the comparisons with ball room dancing and boxing, and how it helped him out a lot. So there ya go, a first hand account. Now I agree with it being a distraction, but then again isn't Floyd a big fan of strip clubs and partying anyway?
