Mayweather is absolutely correct in claiming this will only help his prep. Working with world class professional dancers will improve his footwork and balance, both of which will clearly help in the ring against Hatton. Many professional athlets incorporate ballet into their training for this reason. So long as he does his normal routine in the gym, this experience will both enhance his fight prep and enhance PPV buys.

He's going to be taking part in a televised competition which has a huge set of distractions and demands.

It also has a huge audience that could make him a household name.

It's not a about him not being in shape, that is not the factor. The problem is, he cannot be 100 % fully focused on Hatton if he is taking time to do this show. Right now all he should be doing is focusing on the fight and he can't do that if he is doing other things. He has no business doing this show at the same time as a major fight. Floyd fans will try and spin this but the fact of the matter is he is, he doesn't seem to be 100 % focused on this fight because if he was he wouldn't be doing "Dancing With the Stars". Are you ****ing kidding me. I f he takes Hatton lightly, he is gonna wind up with a 1 in the loss category, and I don't want to hear he is to smart, his work ethic, etc, etc. Bottom line, if your not focused, anyone can lose and that doesn't exclude Floyd.

                Exactly. THANK YOU!!!

People act like all Floyd has to do is go to the dance studio and dance/train.

There are launch parties, media events, rehearsals, production meetings, agent/manager meetings, photo shoots, etc.

This is a primetime television show...with all the responsibilities associated with a major TV programme.

Dancing With the Stars is not gonna make him a household name. he wants to be Oscar from a popularity stand point so bad, but he could never come close to Oscars status. I'm not hating but "Dancing With the Stars" is a pretty pathetic route to go for recognition.
