But you know styles make fights and that was a horrible style match-up for Stevens.
From what I've seen of Stevens so far, it seems like any style that doesn't involved standing in front of him and posing as a punching bag is a bad style match-up for him.
Aside from his being from NY, I never understood the massive amounts of hype that surrounds his career.

It's called knocking dudes the HELL OUT, which he does best. He needs to work on cutting off the ring and becoming an in fighter specialist, he has time and one hell of a mouth on him.
I am glad that I am not the only one who thought Dirrell ran and sucks. Yeah Stevens didn't help by not cutting off da ring but everytime they got close, Dirrell held da **** out of him. I wouldn't go to a Dirrell fight for free let alone watch one on TV. Hell, if da fight was in da middle of my own livingroom I still wouldn't watch it. I love track and field as much as da next guy but I'll be damned if I want it mixed in wit my boxing. Dirrell even makes Spinks look like a toe to toe brawler.

Gotta agree there. He hits like a truck, but only if you just stand there. He has no footwork, no ring generalship, questionable defense, and a questionable chin.
Stevens has his limitations, but I think he's one of the more exciting knockout artists in the game. Stevens' biggest issues have come with fighters who move. I saw in his fight with Carl Daniels that he didn't cut off the ring properly. Nonetheless, he is a big puncher with a lot of exciting fights left in him, and I look forward to watching him fight everytime out.
