Stevens: "Don't Run Like Dirrell, Come To Fight"

However, in his HBO debut, Stevens' fire was snuffed by the quick-footed Olympian Andre Dirrell over 10 uneventful rounds. As he stood in the Mohegan Sun ring, the once once promising knockout artist seemed lost for words on how to explain what exactly went wrong. [details]

What went wrong was that he fought a guy who didn't feel like fighting because dirrell sucks. It probably would have taken only one punch by Stevens if Dirrell didn't run around the boxing ring like a school girl. He fought like a coward, why doesn't he go play basketball or some sport that requires running.

Seriously, what Dirrel did is LITERALLY running.

I won't be that guy, and quite frankly I wouldn't be disappointed in the least if that were his last ever televised fight.

But what I do find funny is that so many people blame Dirrell (the guy who won) for the fight being the stinker, overlooking the fact that Stevens, an alleged knockout artist, didn't do a damn thing about it all night.

Direll did show great footwork and boxing abilitys i think he's real entertaining.
I'd pay good money to see more of his boxing clinics.







































I'm only joking, dirells a puff why go into boxing if you have no intentions to fight. Anyways i wish the best for curtis and hopefully he can get his career back on track and ko some more people.

If all Dirrell did was run for 10 rounds (and it was 10, not 12), then he wouldn't have won the fight. He BOXED and ran. I hated the running part, but he did box.

Stevens gets credit for making the fight? All he did was plod around the ring, following Dirrell around like a damn fool. Even his trainer questioned throughout the fight why he wasn't attempting to cut off the ring.

Dirrell is God-awful to watch, but Stevens is garbage. Much like this article (and Ryan always brings it first-class), the coverage he gets far exceeds what he produces in the ring.
