Bernard Hopkins vs Evander Holyfield (what if)

It just popped into my head the other day. Now what if Holyfield wins the heavyweight title again? If so, maybe this fight could happen. Remember that piece of news that Hopkins was thinkkng about going up to Heavyweight? I'd think it would be great for Hopkins to retire on if he were to beat Holyfield, since he's older and he would win a heavyweight title/it'd be a great fight for holyfield to go out on if he wins.

Now who do you think wins and how?

Imo, it'll be a dirty fight. Hopkins and Holyfield are both known for dirty tactics, so I would expect it.

Holyfield is a lot stornger then Hopkins, but Hopkins is a great tactician. Holyfield looked good against Lou, but he's no Hopkins. I could see Hopkins out boxing him for the most part. Though Holyfield could get in like Wright did and it'll be a close dirty fight.

I'd still expect Hopkins to win, which like I said before, and for him to retire afterwards since he became the heavyweight champ.

    Your thoughts?

Oldest title fight in history .....

Hopkins doesn't have as much power as Toney does so I don't think he would be able to work him in the same way.

I think Hopkins would do good but I think at some point Holyfield's power would show on Hopkin's and Evander would win in some way.

if that happened, my head might just blow up. how much of a joke could the heavyweight title become if Imragimov actually loses to this version of Holyfield...and hes allowed for a really blown up Hopkins to fight him for the title.

Tony Thompson would come out of nowhere and kick the **** outta both of them.

no but honestly, If this horrid fight were to happen, I think Hopkins wins. Holyfield is a fighter that has made it so far with his will, heart, and conditioning. he was very well rounded too.
None of that **** will ever matter when youre fighting Hopkins. size would be a factor though. It really doesnt matter in the least bit that Hopkins doesnt have a huge amount of power.

I thought the headbutting thing was some funny **** though, haha.

Holyfield would walk right through Bernards pity pat punches easily. No way Hopkins would have the fire power to keep Evander off of him. Holyfield wins this by KO. EASY KO!

Holyfield would be just too strong for Hopkins. Bernard Isn't a big puncher at LHW/MW.. Imagine him against REAL Heavies? He would simply get over powered.

guys, im tellin yall...it does NOT matter if Hopkins has no power. you dont need power to beat Holyfield at this point, and Hopkins has NEVER needed a ton of power to beat his opponents, since when the hell has he ever needed power for his style?
wtf are you talking about Bernard needs to keep Evander off with punches? Bernard doesnt do that ****...he runs away or clinches. his whole strategy is to fight way in or way out and break you down with cheap shots.

guys, this is not the Holyfield of the Rid**** Bowe fights, this is the Holyfield that got the **** kicked out of him by the light punching James Toney...and Bernard is much larger framed than Toney, and imo could get to heavyweight and still be in good shape.

I remember when there was talk about Bernard fighting Maskaev, and more people were picking Bernard then than now it seems...

Prime for prime, Holyfield takes it, he is just too big for him, B-hop is not close to HW or cruiser. But now, I wouldnt be surprised if B-hop managed a dirty UD. He is really a freak of nature, to be in 40s and hes in pretty damn good shape, cant say the same about Holy.
