IMO, anything they do from now on doesn't detract from their legacies. It can only add.

For example, I don't hold the Delahoya and Tito losses against Pea. Almost every fighter has that end-of-career money grab. And the losses pile up.

Yes. He was. Did you see the Hurtado fight before that? Pea was slipping badly. Hurtado put him down twice. Hurtado!

147 is above Pea's best weight and he was well past his prime.

A quick-handed, defensive southpaw with long arms? That's no picnic.

          But I respect your opinion.
There is no way of knowing that Oscar would've lost 12 straight. I also felt that Trinidad was losing every round to Hopkins too.

So you don't hold Tarver and Glen losses against Roy also?

              Just FYI.

As a Puerto Rican, you definitely better be prepared to defend your stance. You need to tell us which rounds Tito won.... because you can't "draw" winning the last four rounds.

              Ask Hopkins.

Tito dominated a weight class, something Oscar never did.

Oscar fought a lot of fighters that Tito had already demolished.

Tito beat him. Whether it was controversial or not. (I had it a draw)

Tito only lost twice, at 160 against two of the best technicians of all time.

But I don’t expect my opinion to be taken serious here since I’m Puerto Rican and most of you will just say that I’m just biased.
I'm far far bigger fan of Tito then I am of Oscar but De La Hoya will for sure be seen as having the better record thus be known better and thought as being better.

Tito's run from welter up till the Hopkins fight was better then anything seen in sport for a very long time so it might be unfair to put Oscar over him but that's just the way it is.

I saw the Hurtado fight. The knockdowns were flash and Pernell was clearly underprepared and he had a bad night. So based on that fight you describe Whitaker as done. You might as well say that Cotto was done after the Ray Torres fight. Cotto was genuinly hurt.
