OSCAR or TITO : Who was the greater fighter?

They fought, but we didn't really learn much from that fight.

Oscar was dominating their head-to-head matchup, but faded badly late.

They were both knocked out by Hopkins.

Tito busted up Mayorga, Oscar repeated it later.

Tito busted up Vargas, Oscar repeated it later.

Oscar has a close fight with a fading Pernell. Tito beat up on a cracked-out Pernell.

They had a few common opponents. Tito demolished Joppy, a legitimate WW contender. Oscar lost (!) to Sturm at MW.

Tito basically cleaned out the WW division. Oscar collected more belts.

In your mind, who goes down as having the greater IN-RING legacy? And who was the better fighter?

Oscar started at a lower weight class. He moved up into welterweight and jr. middleweight and continued to have success. Neither mens' middleweight runs were all that impressive.

Oscar has a hot wife. I haven't seen Tito's though.

I have to give the edge to the Golden Boy.

But Tito was more dominant. And "beat" ODLH heads-up.

Osacr has a terrible record in big fights. Is that something you consider?

              Oscar.
And hjis record in big fights is not bad: a wide decision over Whitaker, KO's of Chavez, and split and/or majority decision losses to Trinidad, mosley, and Mayweather.

Tito was made look bad by the three elite fighters he faced, that's the difference.

Oscar has clearly participated in more big fights than Tito hence his record is worse. But let's speak of his losses they were all close and some even controversial except for the loss to Hopkins. Oscar's never lost 12 rounds in a row, Tito has, to Winky. Oscar's got a gold medal, he started at 130. I am giving it to Oscar by a slim margin.

If trinidad would have got the Terry Norris fight, fought Pernell sooner, and fought Quartey maybe even Page then i'd put him over Oscar.

Pernell and Chavez were DONE. And much smaller men.

Also, it wasn't a "wide" decision over Pea. MANY people think Whitaker won that fight. At worst, it was a close win for Oscar.
