Surgery can change that class to metal.I'd disagree. I think having your sparring partners chin check you in training can help build a better chin but you have to have something to work with to start off. If you are born with a glass chin I don't think any amount of training can help you devolp a granite one.Comment

You can do neck excercises to increase your chin. The more you work on your neck, the more resistance you build to being hit. Also, standing on the balls of your feet allow you to take a punch easier. However, this does not make you invincible and if you get hit hard enough, it doesn't matter how strong your neck is, you're gonna drop.Comment

I believe a good boxer has to master the jab and footwork, those are the basics. Footwork includes moving and throwing, evasiveness and cutting off the ring as well as balance. Balance is very important for a boxer.
The other thing that is needed is physical conditioning.Comment
