Four Heavyweights Agree To Klitschko Tourney

It appears that all four heavyweights have agreed to participate in the IBF's tournament to determine a mandatory challenger for their champion, Wladimir Klitschko. [details]

I just hope that the winner is neither Brock or Byrd, else Klitschko might be inclined to just give up the belt. That would just make more mess for the heavyweights.

Klitschko hopes the same, in fact he said that out of the four he is more interested to box with Chambers or Povetkin with Povetkin being a favourite in this tourney.

If we ever needed evidence of the sad state of the Heavy scene, here it is.

A tourney with Brock, Chambers, Povetkin and Byrd.

Who's gonna' lay-out cash for this? Not me. Not many.

I dont see Chambers getting past Brock, nor do I see Byrd making it past Povetkin. Which means we'll have Brock vs Povetkin. And I see Povetkin winning that match in the same style as Wladimir.

So what we should have, hopefully, is Povetkin vs Wlad. Curious as to where Vitali fits in in this.

man.... i don't know how many times i'm gonna have to back my boy up. Eddie Chambers isn't gonna lose, I i've only seen brock fight twice against Wlad and Mccline. So I guess i haven't seen the Calvin Brock everyone is so hyping up on these forums but Eddie Chambers I'm saying it right now....he's gonna win.

I hope he wins too; but only in exciting fashion. I just picture this fight a borefest...

At least they don't have some scrub with 8 losses participating in this eliminator tourney... sometimes it seems like eliminator matchups are nothing more than warm ups for one fighter. Anyone remember Ray Mercer vs. Jesse Ferguson?

This tournament is all about the results, I couldn't care about the individual fights, just who is stepping in the ring to get decapitated by Wlad.
