How Many Fighters Have Rocked Miguel Cotto?

A tougher question is, how many opponents has Cotto absolutely crushed and left without any will to keep fighting?

Zab Judah, Kelson Pinto, Carlos Quintana, Victoriano Sosa, Carlos Maussa, Abdulaev, Branco, Torres, Corley, Malignaggi...the list goes on...All of them gave a brave effort, got some cute little shots in to give them hope, and all of them got ran over eventually.

Is Mosley next? We'll see.

What happens when he faces fighters that have good power in their punches is the question? We will see in the Mosley fight if he can take a punch or not, that will put an end to this debate. If he can hang with Mosley.. he needs not worry..

Malignaggi didnt rock Cotto,Cotto was off balance,u can see it in the video,the announcers thought he was hurt,he didnt get hurt at all,the Zab fight he got stunned with a few punches,not hurt,he was hurt in the Corley and Torres fight,but didnt go down,Torres pushed him down

I think its funny when people say that Cotto's fists did that to Malignaggi's face.. I have seen the fight multiple times and Cottos head did as much damage as hist fists did.. I don't think it was intentional though.

The truth about Miguel Cotto:

He is one of the fiercest competitors in the sport

He is the best pressure fighter in the sport

He is the best body puncher the game has seen since a prime chavez and i think a better body puncher personally

He does not have a "granite" chin, but does not have a "bad" chin either

He has better hand speed than meets the eye

better technical proficiency than most give him credit

Like Winky Wright he seems to be one of the best at actually listening to his corner and executing the gameplan they have provided

great stamina and a huge heart that does not know how to quit

He has fought brawlers, slick boxers, tall and rangey punchers, crafty southpaws, South paws with punching power and awesome hand speed, experienced veterans, up and coming undefeated hungry fighters, and many guys in-between. He beat them all and most left the ring deformed, bleeding and broken.

Put all this together with the fact that he is one of the few guys who will throw down with anyone put in front of him even the great shane Mosley and I cant see how you cannot like this guy.
