How Many Fighters Have Rocked Miguel Cotto?

Talking about the punch Paulie landed in the 9th round that made Cotto fall back a bit? I wouldnt count that as being rocked, but I guess people have different definitions of it.

Nope, right as the clip starts at 9:23 Cotto gets hit with a combo of flush shots and his legs go out a little and he stands straight up in that newborn baby kicking fashion Miguel has as his signature when he gets hurt.

It was a mini-rock - but it was a rock.

This was highlighted by the UK team who calls the fights - although it was apparent to me every time I've watched it.

I can't see how you'd classify that as 'rocked'. Due partly to a plum shot on the chin, partly off balance, he staggered. The fact he was throwing flurries less than 10 seconds after the shot suggests he was anything but rocked.

Malinaggi rocked cotto? At 9:23 if you call that rocked then if someone gets knocked down you must call it murder. And 2min in when he got hit he was off balance.

Neither punch rocked him. The one at 9:23 could rightly be called a minor minor milisecond stun.

After reading these forums for a couple months I think 80% of the people here watch one fight and come to the boards claiming to be experts or "youtube boxing analyst" and the other 20% actual have a clue.

I have not seen the Judah fight all the way through, or the other one where he was down. But I have seen him vs Quintana and Malinaggi and he took some good shots in both fights but was never even close to going down.

A tougher question is, how many opponents has Cotto absolutely crushed and left without any will to keep fighting?

Zab Judah, Kelson Pinto, Carlos Quintana, Victoriano Sosa, Carlos Maussa, Abdulaev, Branco, Torres, Corley, Malignaggi...the list goes on...All of them gave a brave effort, got some cute little shots in to give them hope, and all of them got ran over eventually.

Is Mosley next? We'll see.

Mohamed Obdaliev, Corley, and torres. zab stunned him if anything. cotto was not in serious trouble with Judah. he got himself together and came right back.

I'm a huge fan of Cotto but I can admit that Zab drilled his ass with those uppercuts. Anybody who can't give Judah his credit for rocking Cotto is simply hating on Judah in my eyes. I actually thought Cotto was going to go down on that first uppercut, I was surprised he didn't, a lesser man would have for sure.

That said Cotto gathered himself quite well and Judah on his best day doesn't have the heart needed to beat Cotto on his worst.
