Yeah, which is another huge factor involved. Couple that with De Leon's improved performance level and Penalosa's advancing age and it doesn't seem to be a smart move. I wish Penalosa all the best though, the guy is gutsy as hell that much is for sure and I respect all fighters.

Big Disadvantage for the 'old' warrior. all Ponce should do is throw punches every round and make sure penalosa doesnt counter him by throwing non-stop.

35 is very old for this weight but i dont think DPDL can KO or even KD penalosa.

I still think Penalosa's experience will be too much for de leon, he may be old but he still has fast reflexes and he can still make Ponce de Leon look bad just like in the first fight.

But I also see a KO win for DPDL if he lands a huge punch...

Gonzalez was owning Penalosa the entire fight until the bodyshot.
remembering those 2 things also remind me that 1) Ponce although has improved his skills since he last fought Penalosa, is no where near in Gonzalez boxing abilities ...

with that remembered, i see a fight similar like their first fight ... Ponce will try to KO in the first but Penalosa is to much of a defensive fighter and Daniel wont make a dent...

AND I WILL BET ALL MY POINTS NO WAY PENALOSA GETS MURDERED!!

            i'm just being realistic...

for now, i think PDL will be too busy for Peñalosa and win via UD.

            too young and too aggressive.

many judges prefer aggression, i think that is the trend now.

IMO PDL will not KO Peñalosa.

For money reason's sure take/make the fight. Otherwise I dont think Gerry should do this fight. I dont think he has the output it would take to defeat De Leon at this time. I just dont see a chance of him winning. He wont KO De leon. And he will lose in a decision. This might be a farewell/money fight and that I understand.

You have to remember that Penalosa wasnt known like boom boom when he fought Ponce and i think he underestimated penalosa.

thats okey ponce underestimated penalosa in their first fight, but that's not the reason why Ponce WAS NOT ABLE TO KO penalosa on their first fight...

Johhny KD Israel 2x on their fight but did little to NO damage against penalosa...

at this point Gerry's offense is WANTING but his DEFENSE is STILL TOPS!!
