I'm not saying Bruno never got knocked out! But its not as if he had a glass jaw - yes he was viable to be knocked out...but not extraordinarily so.

I'm not even discussing this with you, your not even Tony Booth.
I am Tony Booth and you're not discussing it with me - I'm educating you.

I remember some of the people close to Bruno said he was tormented by the way that the black community perceived him as not staying true to his roots. i.e. Having manners, socialising with white people, working for a living. This made Bruno feel lonely and was apparently one of the factors in his mental breakdown.

Yeah i know people called him an Uncle Tom etc, and scrutinized him for having a white wife and half-caste children.

I do believe though that Brunos mental illnesses were brought on by his frequent marijuana use (which he used throughout his career to wind him down, and which he believed to be right-of-passage to any young West-Indian rooted man) and later his use of ******* which he found after his retirement.

        sorry as hell

frank bruno would have never made it as far as he did if he were in the us. you must remeber the worriors from those days, holyfield, tyson, razor rudduck, tommy morison, bone crusher, spinks bro, rid**** bowe, etc etc. these guys would have destroyed his career before it ever started. It wasn't his chin, its wasn't his stamina, it wasn't his muscle's, plain and simple the man could not fight. his size and abilty to take punishment got him alot of wins in england.the guys basiclly punch themselves out.Bruno what a joke!!

Had he trained in america I feel they wouldn't have let him do this, and would have benefitted from this. Bruno wasn't a bad fighter, good heavy snapping jab, cracking overhand right, could take a punch. Every time he was stopped it was due to tiredness, he couldn't keep up those big heavy arms, was always stopped on his feet after taking lots of punches clean on the chin. I think had he trained in america he would have been fitter, had better stamina and would have been quicker as well. It wouldn't have made him a great, but I feel he would have been so much better and acheived more in the game. Any thought's on this.
how would he have been fitter when by and large the yanks are the fattest and most unfit people on the planet?
