He got his ass handed to him and while on his ass he shook his head winked his eye at his corner and all but said...I give up...I don’t' want no mo'...that is not acceptable as a Mexican fighter…it’s just not….therefore I have to go with my main man Barrera over Morales…at least Barrera took his beating from Pac like a man…
Question: How hard was Barrera fighting in the last 6 rounds against Pacquiao in the rematch?

It looked to me like he had surrendered already, which is basically a glorified version of quitting.

yup....MAB goal in that fight, aside the paycheck, was to NOT get KO'd...and in fairness to El Terrible, Manny trained his fooking as5 off for that rubbermatch....for the MAB rematch, that mother****er went home in the middle of training camp to play basketball and shoot commercials

Barrera clearly in the rematch with Pacquiao he didnt show up to fight or win, his intentions in that fight were clearly not to get KTFO! and he succeeded in his goal i guess. i have much more respect for what Morales did against Pac than what Barrera did
None taken...I hear what your saying and I was right there with ya with most of it...but the bottom line is Morales literatly quit...there's no way to sugar coat it...he quit in the ring...to me that's not acceptable...you don't quit...he could have gotten up and let the ref or his corner take care of that...but he didn't he sat there and quit...

LOL I thought the same thing.
I ain't Mexican, but I like Morales, he more entertaining to watch because he always go into a slug fest with most of his opponents.

Fair question...the answer was not hard at all...but he didn't quit...you may say it's a glorified version of quitting and that's your opinion so that's cool but he never actually sat there and quit....which he could have...but didn't...

Now let me clarify this and my other posts. I like Erik...when he and Barrera had their wars I was actually cheering for Erik to win...I just dissagre with and was extremely dissapointed with the way we chose to go out in that fight vs Pac...

My take on how they fought:

Morales - Try or die. He tried, but couldn't get it done... and realized that he was done. He had already spent a lot of energy and was getting battered.

Barrera - Survive and thrive. Except the thriving never happened, so he just stayed back and survived.

I think you can make the argument that Barrera quit before Morales, but I guess it depends on how much value you place on literal quitting vs. figurative quitting.

i'm Mexican and Morales is my all time favorite, but at least when Morales is being "mean" he's real about it ,i know he's arrogant but he does too, barrerra hides his dooshyness
