wow, maybe he really is the next Gatti, hand pick opposition for a good part of his career, ha. I really dont get this, they were talking about him wanting to face Juan Diaz and other champions, but his trainer is scared of a guy in a lower weight class?? Not a good look for Katsidas. i mean i know it was his trainer that said it, but come on, be a true warrior willing to take on whoever not be scared of a guy who started his career at 106 pounds when youre the bigger man and a titlist at a higher weight.

I don't think it would be wise of Katsidis just yet to fight Pacquioa. If Amonsot caused him that much damage just imagine what Manny would do. I really like Michael Katsidis a lot and would want him to beat Manny but he needs to work on his defense a bit more and maybe get a few more fights under him before he challenges Pacquioa. You can't under-estimate the number 2 P4P fighter. There is a reason he holds that prestige.

good post have some green. If katsidis sorted out his defence he could be the number 1 at lightweight, as he has superb power in his hooks, a great chin and the heart of a lion. There is one other problem with him and that is he's one dimensional, all he does is come charging in with hooks and if he were to fight a good boxer or counter puncher he could be found wanting.
But as it is he's really exiting to watch and hits like a mule so he's gona sell tickets at least.

Hes right, i love watching Katsidas fight, but it would be suicidle to go in with Pac anytime soon. He doesn't have any defense and hes been put down by Earl before imagine what Pacman would do to him in a war. Maybe if he works on his defense more but i can't imagine it hes just a warrior!

I agree. It is a bit too early. His face was totally mangled by Amonsot. But I do like Katsidis alot. He will be very exciting to watch and has become one of my favorite fighters. He was standing next to Nonito "Flash" Donaire at the World Cup when I went to take a picture with Flash. I didnt recognize Katsidis at first. But as I was walking away I looked back at him again and saw it was him! Damn that would have been a nice picture to have. BTW the jacket he had with the Philippines flag on the front and Jordan on the back with 3 gold stars was dope! I thought it was awesome that he was in the Philippines corner at the Cup. Oddest thing was his face was pretty much fully healed.
