You seem to be full of contradictions. You say Tony Margarito is a boxer who beat Mexican cab drivers up (I believe the great Julio Cesar Chavez had the same allegations levelled against him). I say the man (Tony Margarito) is a great boxer.

You obviously have no idea what a BOXER is. Margarito is a good puncher. Boxing involves a lot more than punching. Mayweather is a great boxer, Hopkins is a great boxer, the Marquez brothers are good boxers. Margarito???? The guy can punch and take a punch; not much else to it.

Margarito is far from a great boxer(not a bum though). His best wins are Clottey and Cintron. And we forget that Clottey broke his hand. I hear Clottey was winning until that happened. Then he was supposed to impress and looked like **** against Williams. Saying he won the fight.

margarito has beaten better welterweight fighters than mayweather. that is a fact. mayweather would never grow the balls to fight cintron or clottey but margarito backs down from no man.

and i also want to say it is a fact that mayweather always takes the easiest competition he can get. that is why he would rather fight baldomir than margarito for $8 million.

It is true that Margarito is not a great boxer, he's a great fighter.

Boxers are those who hit and not get hit (like Spinks or Mayweather)... Margarito is someone who brings an incredible workrate... and just charges forward, kind of a brawler if you will.

And Viva ******, Margarito may have fought better welterweights than Mayweather, but that is easy to do when you fight at one weightclass your entire life. Mayweather fought better opposition at 130 (which set him up to be P4P #1), so Margarito really does need to beat someone great to set a match up with Mayweather.
