Why all of a sudden are people back on Cintron?

he koed a bum, are we 4geting that he was destroyed by Margarito? He wont beat any of the top welterweights.(meaning Mayweather, Hatton, Margarito, Williams, Cotto, Mosley) He may be able to beat some others.

he also beat estrada who gave a decent showing againts another top guy(mosely)

since when is hatton a top welterweight? just because he if fighting floyd doesnt mean he is a top welterweight. hatton doesnt belong in that division

The guy has ONE lone lose, and it was to a Champion, and is current IBF Champ. Cintron brings ONE PUNCH POWER to the ring. He has one of the highest KO ratio in the game. I'd like to see Kermit Cintron -vs- Paul Williams in the near future.

i believe its since boxing started, thats how fighters get measured, so why does it matter if chavez jr gets all these bums to build his record. according to your statement it doesn't matter.
your saying that the experience that people get by fighting better fighters mean ****?

Because he knocked out a guy that Williams struggled with. Because he is now under the watchful eye of the most talented trainer in the sport. Because he's exciting to watch and has devestating knockout power. Because all he wants to do is fight exciting fights and make his fans happy.

I agree it's a bit premature to call him a top contender but with Steward in his corner and his amazing ability to hit with power you can't blame people for being excited about him.

                  1. He is coming off a brutal knockout over a guy widely believed to be very tough (everyone loves knockouts)
                  2. Hes training with Manny (usually an extremely promising thing)
                  3. Hes quite young and theres lots of room for improvement
                  4. Hes got more than a few impressive physical gifts
                  5. Hes very dangerous offensively

Im not exactly following him religiously or anything...not like Ill start comparing him to ATGs or Hall of Famers, hell no. but he is one to keep your eye on, thats for sure...

Losing to Margarito means nothing. Contrary to popular belief, Margarito really isnt THAT bad...hes quite good, really.

Quoted for truth. The knockout Cintron scored over Matthysse was one of the most brutal I've seen in recent years. Matthysse was out on the left hook, the right hand that followed while he was falling nearly took his damn head off. Watch the replay in slow-motion, it's insane.

And losing to Margarito is no big deal, he's a damn solid fighter who is tough as nails. He'll never get the credit he deserves around here, but then again nobody gets the credit they deserve around here.
