Hmm, well I hadn't seen the fight, so I was just curious.

Even so, I don't think John is from the Philipines, he is from Indonesia I thought.

Does anyone remember where JMM was on the P4P list before the Barrera fight? Also, where was Barrera previous to that fight on the list?

It's not that, the Filipinos on here hate on Marquez, and even they felt he got robbed.

JMM threw punchs that are abit far away, Chris John was controling the distance and many of the shots was blocked. just at the beging of the HL JMM landed good shots but the rest he was stalking in an was not very effective, If he was jabbing while stalking he would have won proabably but JMM kept coming closer and throwing the straight right and Chris John moving away easliy and some of the shot JMM put was hit on the elbow ans forearme and gloves

You can't judge the entire fight by watching a 3 1/2 minute clip. Also how could you have scored that sequence for John? The rest of the fight was similar but John was increasingly inactive.

All he did was run away while NOT throwing punches. If he was punching on the regular, you could make the case for him "outboxing" Marquez.

As it stands, Circling around an opponent while throwing significantly less punches could never be considered superior ring generalship.

You can't judge the entire fight by watching a 3 1/2 minute clip. Also how could you have scored that sequence for John? The rest of the fight was similar but John was increasingly inactive.

All he did was run away while NOT throwing punches. If he was punching on the regular, you could make the case for him "outboxing" Marquez.

As it stands, Circling around an opponent while throwing significantly less punches could never be considered superior ring generalship.

I telling how the other judges sees it. giving them a benefit of the doubt instead of people saying JMM was owning the fellow and he actully didnt. sometimes it may seemed as a robbery but it is a difference of opion some judges see the fight differently and in Indonesia is a poorer country than Mexicio so from where is the money to get robbed?!?!?

For one I don't know why everything has to become a race or nationality issue. Even a chimp with limited knowledge of how a fight should be scored, who learned by viewing a series of flash cards could have done a better job scoring. I could understand if John was actually busy, throwing accurate jabs and landing punches frequently to keep up with the pace JMM was setting..........you could score rounds for him because he was "Moving effectively". But it makes no sense for most of the fight, because:

A) JMM landed the cleaner, harder punches.

B) JMM landed more punches, and more power punches.

C) JMM landed punches at a higher connect percentage.

D) JMM was the aggressor the entire fight.

And I'll state it again, I think there were rounds where John only threw 15-20 punches and was on the bicycle being really defensive.

THAT ROUND ALONE SHOWS HOW MUCH RUNNING HE DID ....IT GIVES YOU AN IDEA CAUSE HE RAN THAT WHOLE ROUND AND LANDED LIKE TWO SHOT
