which US boxer has the most fans?

and i dont mean admirers, like pbf, but fans like the 10,000 who went to see hatton in the US?

which american fighter would take the most fans to europe with them to a big title fight?

The biggest draw in boxing is De La Hoya after him i'm not really sure right now.

If Kelly Pavlik beats Taylor, I think he will become a new favorite of the fans. His fight with Miranda was only known to mostly boxing fans. The average person doesn't know who Pavlik is. But the average person does know who Taylor is. Taylor is the guy who beat Hopkins twice. I'm still favor Taylor to win though, but if Pavlik did win. He would be one of the most popular boxers after that. Taylors a very big name. Miranda not so much

okay but he asked who has the most fans IN the US.

Even still it would be Tyson then Holyfield but Tyson's not going to fight anymore.

After them my guess would be that it goes something like

          Roy
          Hop
          PBF
          Winky
          Tarver
          Toney
          Taylor

Tyson..still..and easily, If he won 2 fights in a row, he'd be on a mega pay-per-view for the the 3rd, even his exhibition bout was on pay-per-view

also Holyfield has always been a popular and a big draw.

Well considering Holyfield is the biggest draw in heavyweight history and the heavyweight division historically is america's passion, I'd go with Evander.

Although Tyson fans are the most passionate and perhaps as many in numbers as Holy so it's pretty much a toss up.

tyson, ali, holyfield would be the top who has had the largest fan base here in the states. as far as an active boxer who knows, boxing doesn't really get the same recognition as it used to 20-30+ years ago. and as for a fighter bringing fans with him over seas, it doesn't matter who it is, the majority of american boxing fans aren't going to travel abroad to go see a fight, sad to say but it's the truth. at tyson's peek he barely had any US fans in Japan when he went to fight douglas.

the majority of people in the US automatically think that the fight is going to be on PPV, which it normally is, so when a fight is overseas they buy the PPV and say " i'll just catch it on PPV and save some cash"............. thats enough traveling for the common american sports fan. and let it be known even that is a stretch for them too...........

thought as much, my yank mate in work says theres very few baseball, hockey or US football fans who travel away to watch their teams. europeans and specifically the english have a tradition of travellin for sport, especially football and boxin. when liverpool played the european cup final in turkey against milan we took 50,000 fans from a city of about 500,000. considerin its a workin class city and most of those 50,000 would have been poor as **** its astonishing. if hatton pbf was in a bigger arena i wouldnt have been surprised to see a similar number travel to the US. must be something to do with english workin class culture, the english love travelling en masse and gettin ****in hammered, with a bit of gamblin and the odd ********** thrown in for good measure!!
