FOTY potential? With Mayweather? Never. He won't fight toe-to-toe unless he knows he is going to beat the **** out of whoever he is facing, and one-sided beatdowns are not FOTY material. If he thinks it will be a close fight, he will box and move, which also kills the possibility of FOTY potential.

CASTILLO I, CHAVEZ, AUGUSTUS... all had toe-to-toe, great action in them. COTTO has some qualities from all of those guys. Of coarse, it depends on how effective Cotto is able to be, but if he is effective i could definetly see this being an amazing fight.

And everybody in the history of the sport that fights like mayweather, goes into a big fight wanting to outbox there opponent... but theres always the OPPONENT that has other plans. I assume you've seen GATTI-WARD. thats a prime example. Gatti went in there with every intention of boxing Wards ears off and he very well could have, but Wards pressure and body attack drew Gatti into a war.

Floyd would win however I would hope it's the type of fight that makes him bring out his a-game I mean he didn't even get out of second gear with dlh. Cotto's body work will make him go into 4th gear for sure. When that happens, god help cotto.

yea lol. thats why im not gonna go to the COTTO-MOSLEY fight. Who wants to be around 20,000 drunk Puerto Ricans when their Idol loses?

It'll be a great fight though, a memorable one for sure. Im picking SHANE by UD, but its really easy for me right now to see it going in Cottos favor.
