How REDICULOUS was that whole FLOYD MAYWEATHER RETIREMENT thing...

I mean, some of his fans on this site were actually BACKING him up on that.

And how long did it last? maybe 2 months.

And its not even like hes coming back for just one more fight. He just completely blew off the entire retirement process, and has said he wants Mosley and other big fights.

Dont get me wrong, im happy he's back cause hes very very very very good for the sport and its future, but things like that piss me off. Why did he even bother? he could have hand selected his opponent either way...

It was as believable as him going toe to toe with Oscar.

Mayweather sure likes to do things that keep the press around him... Boxing's Paris Hilton.

Yea but thats because people WANTED him to retire. He had retina problems and what not and was adviced not to fight again.

And then his other retirements he was just old and way past his best. Thats why his return against Hagler was so amazing

It was all a stunt. He wasn't ever going to really retire. Im surprised people believed him.

How can you be mad about something noone ever believed, personally I think it was a stunt to to pull of the ole "he called me out I will come out of retirement to fight him" angle which he just used against hatton.

A stunt for WHAT though? What could he possibly have gained. If he wanted Hatton, if he wanted Mosley, all he needed to do was say so and the fight was made!

It was just angering cause we all knew he wasnt gonna retire, and none of us wanted him to retire, but he still stayed adamint about it.
