  • 150 Lb Heavy bag

What do you guys think of this heavy bag? Its 150 lbs, but its wayyy cheaper than any of the other brands. I dont know too much about it, but i noticed almost everywhere I look, a 150 lb bag costs around $500. This one is almost half that with shipping. What do you think?

If you are to get it, go with the leather. Synthetic leather wont last as good and start to tear up. And try to keep it out of the elements if at all possible. $300 is not a bad price if you can afford it. I'd get it if I could.

i'd get it, it looks like a decent bag. 150lbs is good, you'll get a good workout with it. canvas bags are **** so don't waste your time with one of those, they tend to lose whatever was at the top and all the weight goes to the bottom and top gets all week, which could lead to a sprained wrist, not fun, even if your hands are wrapped. plus it's just ****ty to have a bag that is soft on top and hard as a rock on the very bottom.

pick it up, it looks like a bag that is going to stand the test of time and if you are someone who is disciplined and will stick with heavybag training it will last you a very long time.

and if you want to get rid of it later, i'm sure it won't be that hard to sell............

Do you really need a 150 pound bag? I've been told to work with one that is at least half your weight. Unless you weigh 300 pounds, you can get a nice 100lb Everlast bag at most sporting good stores...I could be wrong though...any other opinions?

i personally think that the more resistance the better, i know that when i go to the gym and workout on the real big heavybags that i tend to get tired quicker than when i train at my house or my friends house with a smaller bag. it isnt going to swing around as much as a smaller bag and like i said it will give you good resistance and will help with toughing up your hands as well as your tendons.

but hitting something is better than nothing................
