and it sucks because the ike of the 90's most likely we will never see again. If he comes out he's older and probably just wants to make enough money to retire on.

I agree. there is no doubt in my mind that Ike would have been an all time great. but he had to go and mess that up by raping somebody. it was just too good to be true i guess. he had speed, power, an iron chin, lots of boxing skill, and he had the best work rate i have ever seen for a heavyweight. he puts me in mind of a bigger and stronger version of Evander Holyfield.

I remember reading an authors comments in a Ring magazine after Ibeabuchi had been denied parole the last time he was up for it. The writer said something like "I've now realized that this is good because revitalizing the heavyweight division is not worth endangering society". I don't know if it was because of punches he took in the Tua fight, but Ibeabuchi is one dangerous nutcase.

wlad dropped byrd twice in the first fight when byrd was in his prime and won every single round whereas ike was actually losing until he caught byrd on the ropes in the 5th round

ikes hand speed was average for a heavyweight. he threw in bunches and had a high workrate which made him more effective and I disagree with the byrd fight. I think byrd was ahead before he got tagged against the ropes

Nobody has even mentioned the fact that Ike fought Tua in his 16th pro fight lol. That's insane. Ike had 20 fights and had already KO'd Byrd and outslugged Tua. That just sounds insane to even say that.

yeah ike didn't have amazing hand speed but he had fast hands for his size fast, you really think byrd was ahead i only gave him the first round when ike didn't throw a single straight right he then got into a good Rhythm and won every other round imo.
