Barrera: "I Will Never Fight Marquez Again"

Win or lose, Marco Antonio Barrera (63-5, 42KOs) told BoxingScene's Ernest Gabion that he will never stage a rematch with Juan Manuel Marquez (44-3, 35KOs). Barrera is so convinced that he was robbed of a win in their March bout, that he sees no reason to ever fight Marquez again. [details]

I don't blame him. Barrera gave it his all and should have won that fight. Those Judges can't judge for ****. The only reason Barrera hit JMM after he hit canvas was because ref didn't rule it a K.D when it was clear to everyone that it was a K.D

That seems kind of strange of Barrera. What if he had done that with the first Morales fight?

If you think you beat the guy, then fight him again, Jesus, it should be easy work.

Its not as easy as you think. The judges seriously robed him. I agree with Barrera no point in fighting him again. He should forget JMM he feels that he won I know he won so its best to move on. Notice that JMM was already offering Barrera a rematch after the fight. That sure tells me a lot. Someone also feels they didn't win.

Thats cause he knew it was a close fight and didnt want to let him down on a rematch. I saw a interview of him and his trainer Nacho while i was in Mexico and he said it there.

              JMM won fair and square.

It's the exact same thing that happened in MAB-Morales I. Barrera clearly won, even Morales admitted it by giving him the medal after the fight.

Statements like these is why I never liked MAB. To me he always had a bad attitude in and out of the ring. People always said Morales was always kind of haughty and arrogant, but I actually always thought Eric was the more genuine guy of the two.
