Breaking Down Hatton/Mayweather for the delusional!!

It never ceases to amaze me how peopl buy into the media hype machine. I have seen countless posts stating that Mayweather is the bigger man, mayweather is too fast, mayweather boxes to well, and so on and so forth ad nauseum! Being a man that likes to look at the world through logical eyes, I'm left confused by the lack of logic i see used to support these most obsured claims.

Myth 1: Floyd is the bigger man. Hmmm, Didn't Floyd Start his career at 130? Where did Hatton start his career-140 i believe. How then is floyd the bigger man? Floyd blew up to cherry pick the higher divisions, but that doesn't make him the naturaly bigger or stronger man!

Myth 2: Mayweather is too fast. Mayweather hasn't looked fast since he fought Corrales. Didn't look too fast against De la Hoya or Judah for that matter. I'll give ya Gatti, but that was more accuracy against a guy not known for his defensive prowess.

Myth 3: Mayweather boxes too well. Mayweather boxes? Funny, I though Mayweather Pot shots and creates distance to Pot shot some more. He does this all night long. He adapts well, but other than that what has Floyd really shown us? That he can beat Hand selected opposition? Roy played that tune long enough that we don't need Mayweather to reprise the role!

Fact: Hatton is the first PRIME,LEGIT,P4P RANKED, UNDEFEATED FIGHTER MAYWEATHER HAS EVER FACED! THATS A COLD HARD ***IN FACT, UNDENIABLE!!!! How then can so many here proclaim Mayweather the be all end all and in the process totally trash an undefeated, just as proven champion? Hate, thats how!

Mayweather resume since leaving 130lbs-Corley,Gatti,Mitchell,Judah,Baldomere,DLH! thats everyone

Hattons resume Tszyu,Maussa,Callozo,Urango,Castillo in roughly same time frame.

Quality of opposition is the most reliable indicator of ability. Is there that much of a difference given the factors involved to say Mayweather is superior based on this criteria? I don't think so.

Point is, there is absolutly no reason to dismiss Hatton. Floyd has shown no substance since leaving the 130lb division. Hattons resume isn't spectaular either. that said, This fight is a pickem fight.

Im picking Hatton to overwhelm Maywetaher mid to late!!! For those of you still holding on to the "Floyd is bigger stronger illusion-Remember what Happened to Jones. Weight means nothing if it isnt there. Mayweather will have to make weight just like Hatton.

But since Hatton is hand picked(cherry-picked #1), and PBF will potshot(#3) and do it with accuracy(#2) he will win easily.

1- Your right about Floyd being the smaller man. Dont let the divisions fool you. Hatto is clearly bigger IMO.

2- Your a fool if you think Floyd isnt fast. The differnce is that in certain fights he doesnt let his hands go as much so it doesnt look as fast but he's still super fast. He's also never going to look faster then certain guys because he punches very fundementaly while guys like Zab are free willing wild swingers.

3- Again, your a fool and so is everyone else who says that. Its like people only remember Floyd's last 2 fights. He was fighting Oscar & Baldy who are huge and can take a mad punch. In Floyd's previous 6 fights he stayed Offensive the whole time. He was very offensive against Zab, Michell, Bruseles, Corley, Gatti, and N'Dou. Go watch any of them and Floyd never pot shotted. Its so ****** when people say that. In most of those fights he actually spent most of the time walking his opponent down. The difference is that against those huge guys he has to pot shot because he belongs at 135 and is fighting against 154 pounders. Let those other guys move up that much and see what kind of pot shotting and running they would be doing.

4- Hatton wasnt no way near as good as Castillo when Floyd fought him, Zab when Floyd fought him, he damn sure wasnt better then Chico, he probally wasnt as good as Chaves, and he damn sure wasnt as good as Oscar at 154. Let Hatton fight Oscar and see what happeneds. He'll get KTFO.

5- Your ****** if you think that he has been garbage since 130. If so then why hasnt he lost? Hatton is bigger but he damn sure isnt big enoug or punch hard enough to overwhelm Floyd or KO him if thats what your thinking. If anyone is getting stopped then its Hatton who will be shell shocked by Floyd's talent. Thats nothing like a past his prime Tszyu who will always struggle if you get inside of him or a washed up Castillo who never had 1 good fight at 140

Look, I want hatton to win worse than anyone, but you are just dead wrong in your analysis.

          - Floyd is taller, has a significant reach advantage, and has more speed...sounds like an advantage to me...

Myth 2: Mayweather is too fast. Mayweather hasn't looked fast since he fought Corrales. Didn't look too fast against De la Hoya or Judah for that matter. I'll give ya Gatti, but that was more accuracy against a guy not known for his defensive prowess.

-mayweather is managably fast for a speedy hatton @ 140(hatton could win at this weight IMO), but @ 147 Hatton is too slow, mayweather lost less speed going up to that weight than hatton does.

Myth 3: Mayweather boxes too well. Mayweather boxes? Funny, I though Mayweather Pot shots and creates distance to Pot shot some more. He does this all night long. Mayweather boxes well, but he is too much of a coward to make the most of it. Unfortunately hype-ridden judges like the ones that gave mayweather the gift vs dlh in the US will give the non-aggressor the fight on points anyway...if mayweather gets balls, he is the best boxer in the game and will ko hatton. He couldve smashed DLH if he had guts, against a smaller guy he might grow some.

all of you guys underrate the size thing in boxing. Floyd is by far P4P the smallest man in boxing. I was just watching the N'Dou fight the other night and the guy was super small. That wasnt even that long ago. He cant just go toe to toe non stop with huge guys like Oscar, Baldy, Margarito, and so on. All those guys are natural 154 pounders while Floyd could easily still make 135. You guys dont give him enough credit for that. Floyd fought all the time against smaller guys. He cant fight these huge guys the same way. Again, thats like Cotto trying to go toe to toe with Pavlik. These guys would get there ass kicked. Anyone at WW. Floyd's situation is probally even worst then that but he's still winning.

I feel you and I apologize. Ive just been getting into it with this punk in the other thread that got me heated. Anyways, I stick by my main points itself. I think the fight is 50/50. I dont mean 50/50 on the winner but 50/50 on either Hatton could give him problems or Floyd could straight up kill him. The thing that makes me mad is that if he does come close to Floyd but loses then everyone will say Floyd sucks. Its not fair

Bull**** he's small, he has little muscle and little power but he is pretty tall and was actually MEASURING ODLH during their fight, he had more reach than him obviously. He had Oscar walking forward blindly into what should have been 3 punch combo's leading to stoppage or 10-8 rounds but instead were jabs to gloves. The guy can do damage from combinations, he's just scared to death to take even the slightest risks.
