His win over Tua was controversial at best. I've seen that fight 3 times and all Ike did was plod and land jabs while Tua knocked him off balance with looping power shots left and right. I don't know what they were watching.

Could have went either way I guess I never really sat and watched it that in depth to say for sure.

He is overrated in that he wasn't around any where near long enough to tell what he would have been but the same can be said for a lot of the boxer that we call greats.

he was inexperienced when he fought tua, he hardly just plodded though, you don't break the record for most punches thrown in a heavyweight fight by just plodding around, he had improved by the time he fought byrd.

He's not overrated, the guy was a monster, he had a great chin, great punch and some good skills, he's the only person to beat both Tua and Byrd in their prime.

He clearly won the Tua fight, he landed more then 100 punches on Tua, what fight were you watching??

I would favor Ike againt many all time greats.
