Has Taylor lost some of his power somehow?

What is it about Taylor that he can't hurt his opponents like he used to?
Early in his career he used to knock down opponents with a jab.
Is it maybe his change of strategy coming into fights? I think Taylor always tries to fight his opponent's fight and that's pretty bad. What is he going to do when he hits Pavlik with his best shot and Pavlik just shakes it off and Pavlik comes back with one of his haymakers? I dunno I kinda fear for Taylor, he seems kinda light fisted to me lately and seems like he's lost his hunger since he started saying things like "I'll fight Pavlik for the most money".

Still though, he was a KO artist in his career, he was more aggressive, now he just puts some pop into his shots but that's about it. He doesn't throw punches with any "bad intentions" anymore.

I don't believe Taylor ever had any power to begin with. Most fighters accumulate knockouts earlier in their career because they face hand picked opposition with glass jaws.

he has power, lately he has faced guys with amazing chisn though. winky, ouma, bhop and spinks all have great chins. lets see 3 ko's between them all in their whole career. i honestly believe he needs to get rid of steward though.

We learned from the Spinks fight that Taylor doesn't have to brawl to win.

He will box circles around Kelly and smash him with counter lefts and straight rights all night long.

            Taylor UD, easy.

Thank you. All I remember of Taylor before he was given the title... was that nearly everyone said he looked like he had the goods, but we needed to see him step up and fight better competition to know the truth.

he hasnt had a KO or even a ****ing knockdown since early '05.

he brought in ouma as a KO victim, tried like hell, looked like ****, went the distance.

taylor's power was never really noteworthy. hes just a big MW. doesnt mean he's a hard hitter.

naw I think he's got power but like somebody said earlier, guys like him who are picked to be the next big thing are usually fed handpicked opposition with glass jaws that make them look good. i.e. Sam Peter.

yeah he started fighting better opposition and found out not everyone goes down, coupled with the fact that he has also fought one or two guys that were actually in his weight class.
