Paul Williams beating Margarito was the worst thing that could have happened to Cotto. He would have totally outclassed Margarito, he ain't gonna be able to do that to Mosley. Now his hand is forced. It's Mosley or nothing. I don't think he's scared really, but he knows Mosley could beat him. If this fight does somehow get made, I lean towards Shane more and more. If it doesn't, then I lose respect for Cotto. Take what you can get and prove yourself. If he beats Mosley, the guy is a rich, rich ****er in whatever fight he takes next.Comment

Miguel has not proven to be a commercially viable fighter. So it would be bad business for Bob to give him a big guarantee.
Miguel did 100K for the Malignaggi PPV and 180K for a highly marketed Judah PPV. The PM fight is excusable. It was on the same night as Hopkins-Tarver and it wasn't supported by HBO.
But the Judah fight was a real disappointment. That fight got the Countdown treatment, HBO backed it, and it didn't sell **** outside of the Northeast.
So, Arum is being cautious. And asking Miguel to share the risk.Comment

How the fight was a big dissapointment??? They sell out the MSG and did around 225K in PPV sales...It could have done better, but the public was still trying to deal with the $55 they wasted on the DLH-Floyd fight....Miguel has not proven to be a commercially viable fighter. So it would be bad business for Bob to give him a big guarantee.
