ouma and spinks were tuneups, and he looked like **** in those fights.

taylor's already making excuses about what will happen if he loses. hes already saying he cant make 160, he gave an idiotic and previously unheard of request that the fight take place at a catchweight of 166, and he has a rematch clause that says the rematch will take place at 168.

taylor's already lost this fight in his mind. pavlik just has to show the world what taylor already knows.

I don't care what ppl say here. The middle weight is a ****ing joke and Pavlik obviously knows that since he is staying at it when he knows he should be going up to 168. He talked so much crap about fighting ppl like Calzaghe and stuff and then he stays at 160. Who the ****s at 160? No offense to Arthur Abrahams, but I see no one being a threat to pavlik at 160. In my mind Pavlik/Taylor is 50/50 right now because I feel either boxer can pull that fight off because I'm ready for surprises. I feel Super Middle weight has better fighters period and better champions. I mean look at Calzaghe and Kessler both of them are faster then anyone in the middle weights and they're bigger guys that says alot.

I say bull****. Pavlik is a lumbering slugger without a defense. This fight is tailor made for Jermain. Pavlik has nobody on his resume other than Miranda, and Miranda was created to make Taylor look good before he fights Calzaghe. Pavlik was promoted to be Taylor's whipping boy. His stepping stone. I've seen enough of Pavlik to know that his hands are slow and a good jab and good footwork will beat him in the long term. Taylor isn't a ****ing idiot like Miranda. Miranda's pride got the best of him. He allowed Pavlik to back him up and keep him on the ropes cause he's a rock head with minimal skill. You think Taylor hasn't learned by now to stay off the ropes against a guy with POWER? He has the best trainer in boxing for Christ's sake.

Again...easy, easy decision for Taylor in this fight. I'll take any bets any time.

I can't understand for the life of me where you are coming from on this subject. The only part of your comments that I will respond to is the part about JT's trainer.

I think Manny is a first-class man, and an absolutely BRILLIANT trainer. It's just too bad that all that knowledge is wasted on a fighter that wont listen, which negates the advantage of having a great corner.

Power alone can just get you so far in the sport. I think JT will pull a UD with Pavlik

What don't you understand? Pavlik is slow and has zero defense. Fast hands, a good jab, and footwork will obliterate him. Taylor isn't dumb enough to stay on the ropes and get bombed. Pavlik can't win unless his opponent stands in front of him. If Taylor boxes, which he will, Pavlik loses.

                Clear enough for you?

Taylor in about 8, he is going to box pavlik and than finish him off, I can see that happening for sure.

I, among a few others on the site, and the official round by round, had it a draw. Winky had it won, but gave away the final round.

I can't wait until Kelly Pavlik makes you haters eat your words next month. Nobody is giving Pavlik any credit at all, and I'm not hating on Taylor either because I still like the guy despite his lackluster performances. I guarantee you that Kelly Pavlik will be the toughest challenge Jermain Taylor has faced to date. The guy is a monster, he knows how to move, he throws punches at will and he lands serious bombs upstairs.

I don't think you can rightfully call yourself a boxing fan if you don't respect Kelly Pavlik.
