If The Hillbilly beats Pavlik, then I gotta re-evalute how I feel about Jermaine.
I give JT a lot of credit for beating BHop and Winky. Those guys are great, but they are not killers. Pavlik is a killer. -

This is all small talk. Unless Kelly only plans to fight maybe twice in the next year he has no choice but to move up to 168. His frame is too big for 160 just like Jermaine's. Although it would be a non title fight, this fight would be much better if it were at 168 as both fighters would have more energy and power. In all fairness, Kelly Pavlik beat a drained Edison Miranda. Ed had trouble making weight which was acknowledged before the fight. I'm not saying Edison would have won but not having to drain yourself to make weight makes a huge difference in how fighters perform.
Anyway, if Kelly does win this fight and the rematch which would be at 168 he will not be staying at 160 for up to a year and a half unless he fights no more than twice in that time frame.Comment

If you watched the fight maybe if you can think back that far, you should remember that during the fight Edison had Kelly hurt at least twice. At one point it even looked like Kelly was in serious trouble but Edison didn't have the stamina to finish him.
So in the very near future look for Edison, Kelly and Jermaine to all be moving up to 168.Comment

Kelly is staying at 160 because he KNOWS Jermain Taylor is going to beat him. Why do you think Jermain is already talking about moving up to 168? It's because the pieces are already in place for him to fight Joe Calzaghe next Summer. Wake up. Pavlik is tuneup and nothing more.Comment

"Whether he likes it or not, Pavlik may be forced to move up to the super middleweight division in the near future. The rematch clause in the fight contract (for Taylor) states that if Pavlik beats Taylor, the rematch would have to take place at 168-pounds. Win or lose, Taylor plans to move up to super middleweight after the bout with Pavlik."
It seems pretty clear to me that Jermain's handlers know there is a good chance Taylor will lose, and they have their excuse built into the contract. I don't know for certain that Pavlik will beat jermain, but I certainly DO KNOW what the excuse will be when the first OFFICIAL loss hits the record books for JT.Comment

pavlik will stay at 160 becasue after he knocks jermain taylor the **** out and becomes the undisputed middleweight champion he'll want to enjoy it for a while maybe have a couple more fights before taking care of business at 168Comment
