It all boils down to which style Bautista decides on at fightnight imo.

Hey, what do I know, I'm just a boxing fan...lol

    I beg to disagree...

Some of the advices I've read says that Boom-Boom should stick to
jabbing and fight him from afar, or for short, pick his spots. I say, STAY
close to PDL and capitalize on his primary weapon, his body punches.
This technique will nullify PDL's power punches which usually comes from
left field and I bet PDL doesn't know how to fight back when going
    backwards.

Boom-Boom's short and crisp uppercuts and dandy hooks will find its
home once PDL starts dropping his guard to protect his breadbasket.
The body work will also weaken PDL's power and I'm just hoping he
won't fight dirty once he realizes he can't win this fight. A natural stalker
like PDL who always relies on his monstrous power to pull him through at
the end of the day will be in for the biggest surprise of his life when he
becomes the prey. Boom-Boom will crowd him all night and PDL wouldn't
    know what hit him.

I say Boom-Boom wins by late round stoppage or by a rout if PDL really
    have tough whiskers...

And yeah what a nice way for Mexico to "prove" their the best with nothing but bums, except De Leon & Gonzalez of course.
You didn't get it. The Filipinos aren't saying they're the best in the lower weight classes. It's still a long shot for the Philippines to even equal let alone surpass Mexico in boxing supremacy. Hell no. Not today, not in the near future. But they have a shot. They have the potential to be on top of boxing in the long run just like Mexico had before they became a boxing powerhouse. Mexico was not even on the boxing map before the 60's. Philippines has the culture, the heart, the fashion and pedigree to become a boxing powerhouse.

Now, you were saying Mexico has nothing to prove. You are dead wrong mi amigo. The world keeps on changing, you can say Mexico is numero uno today but who knows where they will be tomorrow. Just like a great fighter who are on top of the ladder at one point, he may find himself at the bottom after a big loss. The same is also true in competing countries in sports. The bottom line is: every sport is all about proving who is the best at any given point in time. That's why your reasoning is flawed, my friend.

Yeah like I said, it's just too tough to call.

I think most of you are just picking sides with the fighter you want to win. I can't see how this fight is anything but a pickem/dead even affair.

happen OR was it just wishful thinking on my part? .

Yeah but case and point, you're a Filipino.

That means you're automatically going to vote for Bautista regardless.

... and with a good and valid reason too! Not unlike some hick who just babbles
and say, "This ______ will kick the **** out of him!", and that's how far he will
                    go about his choice...

I think I got your meaning. Team Pinoys and others used to do "ping-pong" back to the time when monetary rules were still lax and cash was still aplenty here at BS until Rick Reno, the godfather put an end to that and revalued the cash moving around. I used to be a billionaire here by the hundreds, now I'm just poor as any regular BS member on here.
