He's got bad balance and no snap on his wrist/back-of-hand punches. He's got nothing to keep a motivated attacker off him. Someone like Cotto should have no trouble getting around or through his right hand to land shot at his long torso. He's off balance when he moves back, a few good body shots would put him down.

      ....................

At this point in time im going with Mayweather because of the following... willaims as impressive as he looked versus margarito still took some shots ...now mayweather is on another level than margarito so he would catch williams alot more and make him miss alot more... williams still needs to imporve his skills... i personally dont think this fight will happen but if it does..i dont think mayweathers all out defense would work,,he would defintely need to be active in this fight...but i think mayweather is smart enough to figure that out on his own.....

margarito is not a motivated attacker? not questioning your logic, but isnt margarito one of those pressure fighters? Cotto is the only worry I have for Paul in the WW division but he is 5'6. how the hell could he reach the body with Pun's movement? at least margarito is 5'10. Cotto is relentless and works every minute of every round and Pun works every minute of every round too. thats my dream match up in the division. I think in the end Cotto is too short for Pun.

Now, how does Pun have bad balance? He can move around. can you have good movement yet still have bad balance?

and the power thing is debatable all day. mad people here think Paul is kinda feather fisted, he has racked up some knock outs. he wears you down with the volume and put you out. not a one hitter quitter. I think margarito is too bull headed to get knocked out by anyone in the division. Marg just might have the best chin in the Welters now. You cant fairly judge his power until 1 or 2 more fights from now.

I aint trying to belittle you or anything, but was that the first time you saw Flako Grande fight?

Nobody at 147 is beating Williams any time soon. Sorry to say, Floyd fans, but this guy would work Mayweather into an early retirement.

Paul Williams has a sweet right hook and a mean left uppercut. Saying he has nothing to keep constant attackers off of him is, for lack of a better word, ******ed.

it would be a competitive matchup no doubt, but floyd mayweather is too elusive for paul williams and his stamina is better than paul's also. williams has a high punch output but he is still green and he's never faced a fighter like a mayweather and no amount of preperation he does would do him any good because he'd have to put on a performance of a lifetime against floyd and i don't believe he could do that against a fighter like floyd mayweather who is just too good of a fighter overall for williams, who would not be tougher than when castillo fought floyd. paul williams has great stamina seeing how he throws many punches each round but fighting a floyd mayweather who has arguably the best stamina in boxing today and who moderates his punch output and is great with his footspeed and ring movement, paul would be outclassed by floyd in a great fighter imo.
