    Johnson Decisions Wills, Hunter Wins

That was a horribly boring fight, sloppy and monotnous in every way.

Kevin Johnson isnt going anywhere, i dont care what anyone says.

Hand speed only gets you so far, maybe he'll fight Chris Arreola or Eddie Chambers some day, but i wouldnt pick him over either of those guys IMO.

Wills has an okay defense, but he blocked nearly ever punch Johnson threw that wasnt a jab. There were a few winging shots that johnson landed, but the VAST majority were blocked.

he threw combos without a goal, u know? he would just throw punches to show off his speed, with nnot actual try to land anything.

Just pathetic. Id rather watch Damian Wills again, who can actually be in some very entertaining fights, then be bored to death with a Johnson fight. And the only reason why that fight was slightly watchable, was because Wills always came forward and showed a lot of heart. Against another boxer, Johnson would be UNWATCHABLE.

Anyway, he says he wants Sam Peter, and i want that fight to Happen. Nothing better to add to Sam Peters confidence then a 1st round KO in his second title defense.

Hes "The future of American Heavyweights" and he blows my ****in ass. He has speed and a decent straight right but thats it.

And considering im a Hatton fan, and find Hatton very entertaining sometimes (Tsyzu and Castillo were pretty entertaining bouts.), so yes, he is worse to watch.

But if your talkin about the Hatton that fought URANGO, then yes, he is worse to watch. He rarely lands a flush shots, presses not action at all ever unless his opponent aint doin anything, at least Hatton lands a lot of flush shots clinch or not

If Kevin Johnson is "the great American hope", then there's no hope for American heavyweights.

But Witherspoon, Arreola and Chambers are decent prospects, so there is still some hope.

Chambers is pretty good albiet too small and light handed to be anything special.

                    Have to disagree with Kball...

While I don't think he is ever going to be the best of the best in heavyweight boxing, I thought tonight's fight was reasonably entertaining. Johnson has an amazing jab, great hand speed and an 82" reach. That said, he lacks power and doesn't put together good combinations, and if he tries all the psychological head games against a classier opponent he's going to be hurt bad.

I don't like his prospects to beat Peter at this point, but he could surprise against other heavyweight prospects.
