All people, your wrong. I never said Deleon would lose to the first two opponents you mentioned. Against Gerry Penalosa, i was rooting for GP to win. GP was landing the cleaner shots. GP was blocking most of Ponce's punches. Ponce was throwing 100 something punches in every round. Ponce got the win by a wide UD margin. But the judges were biased, with one judge all rounds to Ponce. When scores and winner was announced, you heard some of the fans jeered. Their opinion was either GP won the fight or it was a closed fight that they saw. I don't know how many, but there were reporters/medias that favored GP the win. The Ring mag has Gerry winning by a close decision.
As far as my opinion on who was the winner, even though GP had a great defense and landing the cleaner punches, i had Ponce winning cuz of his activities of hundred of punches per round. I do not agree to the score. Gerry won 4 or 5 rounds. Gerry did not school Ponce but he did give him some lessons on boxing skills.
Ponce learned from his fight againt GP. I believed Ponce will box more against Boom2x, not a JMM/MAB level of skills. Ponce probably saw the fight of Boom2x against Median. He knew Boom2x can be hurt. So Ponce might box to set up the punch KO.
As far as Boom2x vs Medina, it wasn't a cakewalk. That knockdown was the first time i seen Boom2x got hurt. Boom2x should have learn from that fight to protect his head. He probably studied the fight of Gerry vs Ponce and learn from that also. Ponce was easy to counter punch to the head, so Boom2x might do what Gerry did.
I am rooting for Boom2x to win but as a boxing fan, its a toss up. Just can't wait for the fight.
