None of the fighters today fight like the mexican's of the past, either. THe Marquez bro's sure dont. They are very technical but dont have the classical mexican style.

it all boils down to Olivares and Chavez to me. The way Chavez rolled with punches was beautiful.

Many mexicans are famous for this, but they aren't given credit for having good defensive skills because they dont have an americanized style.

In America you have to slip a punch. You can't just parry it.

I feel Barrera has been overated throughout his career. Call me a prick, but his boxing skills aren't that legendary. He's for sure got nothin' on Morales.

Manuel Ortiz also. And I shouldn't forget the Marquez bro's.

        yourself????

I always liked how Chavez fought, but was really amazed by him when i got a hold of his fights in his prime.

I was a big fan of Barrera and Morales, Morales was a ****en warrior it hurt deeply to see what he did in the 3rd fight with Pacquiao. Barrera imo, was never the same fighter after the Junior Jones fight. After the Jones fight he was very hesitant to exchange punchs to the fullest as he used too before Jones.

        S. Sachez was a great fighter i caought him on video but man what a smooth, relaxed style he had.

The rest of the great Mexican fighters i havn't seen much. But i plan to get a collections of Oliveras fights and Pipino Cuevas man, Cuevas was everything my boxing trainer said of him he would throw some massive bombs and looked mean as hell.

Marquez brothers are great fighters. Juan Manuel has a great boxing style.

Finito Lopez, great great fighters, i liked how he always was ready to fight hands up, defense always there and can box and brawl, can fight in the inside can do it all.

Danny Romero, i wish he would have made it back on top, i like how he used to fight. He was a terror coming up the ranks. He had some great fights. I know some people forgot him but man he could fight and he could punch.

Antonio Diaz i was impress with his brawling style didn't hit that hard but always keep pressing , but he fights boxers and he loses but a good fighter, i belive he should have gotten a title shot at 140.

Johnny Tapia, as ****** as this sounds, for awhile i thought he was the baddest white fighter i've seen in all of boxing at the time, then i found out he was Mexican lol, and i felt ****** i couldn't see that he was Mexican-American. Great fighter, had he stayed away from drugs he could have gotten 3 years of his prime extended. I don't know when we'll see such a charector as Tapia again, he could fight or you can hit him and he still throws his hands up and urges the crowd to yell. Great fighter.

Fernando Vargas ex boxing team-mate unbelivable how far he got in boxing all the credit to him, he was always in the gym and it payed off. In his prime great fighter to watch.

Rocky Juarez i thought he had all the tools coming up he would throw nice combinations up and down then all of a sudden i think just maybe the ko's he had gotten prevented him to develop his combination punching. I may have over rated him a bit, as with Margarito, i belive Williams won the fight in the 12 round which Williams won -though i still think he(Margarito) wins the rematch.

Daniel Zaragoza and Manuel Media where the heck did these guys fight the fountain of youth? I swear i don't know where they rank in boxing but there longeivty is great. Very skilled fighters. Medina just very style.

Chiquita Gonzalez a boxer that loved to brawl, seen him late in his career but man could he box and boxed ears off of Carbajal great fighter, then slugged with Sortuga who if he keep boxed would have beat him.

So many fighters that have impressed me through the years i have left out some but they are not forget, im just written too much so i'll stop before i write a book. .
