Time for Wlad to show what he's made of

With Chagaev canceling, Wlad now has the opportunity to unify two of the other three belts in his next two-three fights. He can fight Chagaev in November or December since Chagaev will magically be ok from his stomach flu by then. Ibragimov has already stated his goal is to fight Wlad, so as long as he gets by Holyfield, that fight looks probable. I'm not familiar with the WBO though and assume he'll probably have to fight a mandatory before Wlad, which sucks. Meanwhile Wlad won't have to fight his IBF mandatory for a while since they are having a tournament that will take two nights of fights to complete. His schedule should be as follows and ONLY as follows

    1) Chagaev
    2) Ibragimov/IBF mandatory
    3) Ibragimov/IBF mandatory
    4) WBA mandatory

It's kind of weird because I'm almost pulling for Peter to crush Vitali since Vitali winning a title will only hold off unification. At least we know Wlad isn't going to retire after spraining his ankle or getting a cold.

Yeah if vitali wins a belt it puts a stop to full unification i would like to see peter beat oleg and vitali then fight the winner of wlad chagaev that would be a big fight.

i would like vitali to get the wba title and wlad to unify wbo, ibf and wbc. Because if vitali gets the wbc and wlad unifies the wbo wba and ibf, there will be 2 wba title.

This might already be in the works; Chagaev-Wlad would be an interesting fight, since Chagaev will be able to occasionally get past and/or counter Wlad's jab.

You are all assuming Chagaev is fine when none of us know how severe this illness is.

If we was fine it would not make sense to pull out of one unifacation bout against a beatable opponent just to sign up for another unifacation bout against the guy who you pretty much know for sure is gonna rock you and end your reign as champ. Makes no sense at all. I think his illness may be severe, just a hunch.

Anyways if I had to guess I would say that Wlad will wait till October and challenge the winner Of Holyfield- Ibramov.

this all sounds great,,,,but its all on the assumption that chageav and his promoters want this fight. didnt you already say chageav bitched out of the sultan fight? yet he would fight wlad who would obviously be an even tougher fight to win for chageav? you make no sense

                  You're still on with that?

When are you going to realize, Holyfield is too old and past his prime to be in the ring with Klitschko. He's at a terrible size disadvantage to begin with, he couldn't deal with Toney's punches that weren't a fraction as hard as anything Wlad would throw.............and his reflexes/timing aren't what they used to be. He's a walking liability and Wlad is the extreme when it comes to Holyfield getting hurt.

An insurance salesman put Holy on ***** street on the best damn sports show. Sure he stopped the insurance salesman, but couldn't avoid a haymaker that backed him up to the ropes, and gave everyone a good scare. For a minute it looked like Holy was back to his old form, and then it was clear as day it was only a smoke screen.

He fights two fat, plodding, stationary, nowhere near top ten level heavyweights in Maddelone and Savarese and now he's ready to take over again? This is absurd.

Did you even read what he said? It's not like he isn't making sense.. He's assuming Chagaev will be out for a long time due to his illness or whatever and Wlad is left with that option of versing winner of Holyfield and Ibragimov. No reason to bash there, if Holyfield wins against Ibragimov then he deserves a shot against Wlad. And stop acting like a know-it-all, Holyfield is a pro and has been through it all, you don't need to be concerned about his health, not just you but a lot of people here, he knows what he's doing, he's not ******...
He's attempting a comeback, good for him, let him be, damn...
