It is international now, and it is dominated by real sportsman instead of the chest pounding ****** thugs, like Clay and Tyson and all the rest. The champs are now bigger and stronger and faster than ever before.
Globalization has affected the sport in a positive way; only two of the top ten are American. If you don't think this would have always been the case, had politics allowed it, you're in denial.
But they're not the strongest they've been in 75 years, that's a bit overstated.
im not comparing them like one on one...idc if they not in the same weight class ... he still is faster it not like they need to be the same weight to compare hand speed.... ali is slower then floyd.. plaine n simple
Absolutely right!! Its no suprise, Floyd is a 150 pound man and still verry fast for that matter, Ali in his prime was a 215 pound man and incredibly fast for that, but not as fast as Floyd, that would just be unreal. Some say Ali was as fast as a middleweight but he is not as fast as p4p Nr.1 Floyd Mayweather.
When people are getting excited over Evander Holyfield getting a title shot at the age of one hundred and eight you know you have problems.
But Archie Moore got a title shot at age 44 in the early 50's, and Foreman actually held a title in the 90's when he was older than Holyfield.
The heavyweight division is better now than it was in the 90's and early 00's I think...it was bad when old Foreman, Ruiz, McCall, Hide, Akinwande and Douglas had titles from 1990 to 2005, but it has been getting much better with Wlad improving, the emergence of Ibragimov, Chambers, Arreola, Povetkin, and Chagaev. The talented David Haye moving up next year should make it better still.
There is bitterness from some people that none of the titleholders are American, and that accounts for much of the negativity expressed about the division.
Werewolf is wrong in blaming Black ******s for anything, but there have been shady promoters like Don King who have hurt boxing over the years.

Ill agree that the Heavyweight division is pretty good, it has some very good talent and promising fighters. But it's deffinently not as good as when Ali and Foreman were fighting. Yes Ali did win alot of fights with bull**** but the real big ones he won with manlyness!
Heavyweights aint the same as it was before because the division was above all the others great fighters and great fights and weird moments (fan man and tysons earbite) but now all you see is boring action and the names are not that attractive and are not money makers as in they dont generate much viewers.
