          No, not at all, Gunner.

Anyone who says that Ali benefitted from the judges, referees, media, and the boxing world in general (during the 70s, especially during the time of, and post-Foreman) is talking accuracy as far as Im concerned.

The only reason Ali benefitted from the media was who he was during the time he was fighting. Not every fighter had balls like Ali, so he earned that himself.

As for the judges and the referees, I think we can say the same about every other fighter that ever fought.

Yogi, do you also agree with this being the best heavyweight divsion in the last 75 years?

Ali when he was Clay was pilloried in the press. He didn't become a media darling until much later, he was reviled because of his involvement with Nation of Islam and his unwillingness to tow the line and be like Joe Louis. When popular support swung against the Vietnam war he became recognised as a brave soul who refused to fight for a cause he didn't believe in. Before that he was considered a loudmouth punk. In any case the heavyweight division is lacklustre in terms of talent and in terms of competition at present. When people are getting excited over Evander Holyfield getting a title shot at the age of one hundred and eight you know you have problems.
