jermain went 12 competitive rounds with bhop twice
went 12 close contested rounds with winky
    beat ouma and spinks

its outright disrespectful for fools to be saying pavilak is 10Xs better and having him rated higher on their p4p list above taylor

    kelly really hasnt done anything
i mean he's a good fighter and he's no bum but come he doesnt have half of the accomplishments that jermain does and hasnt shown that he's a better fighter than jermain

    i really dont understand it

i guess its the same thing with these people thinking bernard hopkins wouldnt stand a chance against joe calzaghe

that does not make sense at all

Yes, Americans had Jeff Lacy as one of the tops at super-middle weight. Calzaghe must have made him a nobody... Oh, and calzaghe beat eubanks but will you say eubanks was too old for calzaghe and play the age game even though Calzaghe beat jeff lacy who was much younger then him? Robin Reid and Omar Sheika weren't nobodies either, when Calzaghe fought them they were in their primes. I think you just hate Calzaghe because he's white.

He is big, he can punch hard, often and from many angles. And he is also white.

Taylor is as good as dead in my opinion

I agree. The reason why he looked so good with miranda is because miranda stays on the ropes. I was watching the figh with miranda and Howard Eastman and miranda was on the ropes alot and he got rocked alot too in that fight. The only way taylor is on the ropes is if he is tired. when pavlic and miranda fought Miranda stayed on the ropes all night and got a beating. So if taylor keeps the fight in the center of the ring and stay off the ropes he should out box pavlic in a unanimous descision. Miranda is a brawler type of a fighter and taylor is a skillfull boxer. Pavlic is not going to do what he did to miranda to taylor. "peeleft:

dont include me as one of those americans who had lacy rated high cuz i always thought he was an overrated fighter with power and NO BOXING SKILLS..
robin reid and sheika arent elites and eubanks was obviously old
you can be the same age as someone but have different wear and tear on your body
age affects different fighters differently due to excessive fights or wars or training habits and opposition faced..
          i dont hate joe calzaghe
i dont hate anyone based on their skin complexion
even though i have been hated for mine
i really dont care for calzaghe because he hasnt beaten anyone and he overrated
and the fact the fools who obviously dont know boxing think calzaghe would have an easy time with hopkins is obsurd..
lol the same guy who beat peter manfredo could easily destroy a guy who recently beat winky wright????

          wow

The way Pavlik just seperated the fight out of Miranda was impressive. I know Miranda is limited skill wise, but I really thought that nobody could take him out and Pavlik did it. Like KBall said Pavlik's style is going to present problems for Taylor. Especially since Taylor in his last few fights hasn't faced somebody with a pressure style that has power in both hands. I mean Ouma pressured him, but really didn't present a problem with his power.

With that said I think this will be a very interesting fight and either Taylor will crumble under the pressure or we will see something out of him that we've been waiting to see. I have a feeling the latter will happen. Pavlik will put up a good fight and performance, but Taylor seems to find ways to win even if it's by a small margin. I think in this fight he will do the same.

He beat plenty of really good fighters. Miranda is, and will always be, a very good fighter, nothing more and nothing less. Howard Easman, Willie Gibbs, and Allan green were all victims, 2 of the 3 were knock out victims and Green was almost one himself. All very good fighters.

Even the Abraham decision loss was VERY controversial, with 5 points being deducted total.

Nobody saw that dominating performance coming, and Pavlik really put on a show with that performance.

It takes a real hunger and grit to go out there and fight the fight he fought. Miranda was probably the most feared middleweight in the world going into that fight, and Pavlik laid him out
Miranda was knocked out cold in the Olympic Qualifier in Tijuana.

i dont think taylor has faced a guy with as much power as pavlik. i dont see jermain as a good fighter anymore. when he fought hop, he looked like a hungry fighter (still think he lost the first one), and when he fought wink, he looked worse, than ouma, even worse, then spinks....horrendous. it seems like he jus doesnt want it anymore. and pavlik def wants it. i see pavlik giving taylor hell and winning a decision. we will see though.

                  1. whoever says pavlik is 10x better and is higher on the p4p list than taylor is a ****ing idiot.

                  2. dont look at taylor's record in black and white. look at the performances. and you will see where all the criticism and hate comes from.

                  3. why even bother mentioning taylor beating spinks and ouma? he kept saying how he'll blow away ouma and he never even rocked him. im not even gonna acknowledge the spinks fight (shudders). those fights might as well have never happend.

                  4. taylor has done more and accomplished more, but look at their recent performances. pavlik looked like the real champion while taylor looked like ****. you cant blame anyone for picking pavlik to beat taylor. its a smart choice.

unfortunately Taylor let Winky wright put him on the ropes in every single round. So much so that Steward was begging him, doing everything he could to get that message across to Taylor to stay off the ropes. He couldnt and he wont against PAvlik who will apply real pressure and force him to the ropes. The thing that impressed me about Pavlik is his power and strength, his balance, combination punching, very good jab, great chin, and ring smarts. Im not saying he would beat Winky wright although he has the straight right to split Wrights guard and hurt him, but Pavlik just matches up well against Jermain's weaknesses.
