I believe Simpson was cut from a headbutt and Matthews INTENTIONALLY butted him and rubbed his cut MANY TIMES to make it worse.

ITV hyped Mathews up soo much, but he didn't deliver and the scoring for that fight was ridiculous.

Matthews was very lucky not to be DQ'd against Foster - although once he'd opened up the cut he won the fight on my card. A horrible fighter on that evidence though, and if Parris was the referee, then a poor performance from him.

I think the good british posters on here realise that there are bad judges and refs in the UK just as there are around the world. How Vann didn't deduct a point from Hatton in the Tszyu fight is beyond belief. We could do with some fresh blood in the officiating ranks.

Parris and Vann are both Terrible Judges and average refs. That Derry Matthews fight was the most disgraceful boxing event i've ever seen in Britain. How Parris managed to score the fight 117-110 is a complete joke especially when Matthews had 3 points taken off and certainly lost about 4 rounds. Vann was the ref that night and was equally as bad in not disqualifying Matthews for being unbelievably dirty. The Earl fight was a joke as well.

It was a premature stoppage, but mitchell was thoroughly out-classed, he scored a knockdown fair and square, but it was all he did in the fight and he was dropped heavily just 10 seconds afterwards.

Dave Parris is a **** judge - but maybe it's way of scoring fights?

Just because he is **** at his job it doesn't mean that he is bent.

For every dodgy decision and scorecard in the UK you will find one in the U.S.

I would also be careful before throwing around accusations, you can get sued for libel.

mitchell didn't show anything to suggest that h ewould win, he caught calzaghe when he was coming in, but that's all he did. Joe got straight up and beat him all over the ring.
