It's simple. Money. Boxing is a business and a down and dirty business. It's about minimizing the risk while maximizing the revenue. I am not saying he was scared of getting hit but he fought with the intentions later in his career of winning on his points. He never really finished a fighter with a killer instinct and gave the fans a real show. I guess he was more scared of losing.

Please re read and I already posted my answer.

I'll restate it: People want to see him get his ass kicked and shut his mouth. Freddy Roach clearly stated that in the 24/7 series and it's flat out true. He's an *******, and is due for an ass kicking.

Taking him down a notch on the proverbial peg tree.

But you mentioned fans and critics as if it were a fighter's job to please them, and it is not. What I said was only that if they hate him so much, they shouldn't waste their time or money on watching him, even if they want him to lose. It's much more mature and intelligent to just ignore him if he bothers you.

Dude every boxer doesn't like to get hit. Some guys thrive on it, but 95% of them dont like getting hit. I was a 40 fight amateur boxer so I know this. You sound like nothing but a keyboard jockey.

I never once, and I mean never questioned Floyd's boxing ability, or the simple fact he's a great fighter. It's just laughable when I point out the fact he isn't aesthetically pleasing to watch fight, he's a disrespectful ******* who attacks random figures in the sport, and people would like to see him off his high horse................I get critiqued.

How much is my opinion worth really? I don't think that much. But everyone seems to think otherwise when I state my two cents on this issue.

              lol.
              eh run...

you actually stated that he was afraid of getting hit. that's bs...

finding a defensive fight boring is legit... very legit that's why i am so excited that Floyd is fighting Ricky now. Ricky is the only man (with the *possible* exceptions of Mosley and Williams) who is going to make Floyd fight. Oscar, Tony, Cotto might have a chance to hurt him and put him to bed, but not in an exciting fight (they are slow and with one punch power---> Floyd runs and pot shots).

Hatton on the other hand is fastm throws 1000 punches, and getting on your ass real fast is what he does best: if Floyd is ever goint to be in a FOTY, this is the one.

Once again, how much does it bother me really? It doesn't. I'm merely pointing out that I'd really like to see someone kick his ass..........and as for the thread is concerned.....I consider that overly defensive "hit and never get hit" style running and backpeddling.....because that's what it is.

You can be defensive and not run (Prime Tyson, Winky Wright).

Two great examples of MY OPINION excellent defensive fighters who I thought /think are exciting to watch. Nothing sissy about putting up a gaurd and walking forward, or bobbing and weaving then returning.

leaning back and avoiding punches coupled with riding a bicycle all over the ring is boring in my opinion. If anything people take too much of what I type personally, I don't know why.

I know that, it's common sense that the majority of people DON'T LIKE to get hit, but that's not the same as BEING SCARED of getting hit. Fear is a powerful human emotion and sensation. When one his afraid of something, he does not put himself in a situation in which what he fears could be manifested. That's just human nature.

Floyd adapts how he sees fit. At 130 and 135 he sat in the pocket. Against Judah he walked foward and beat his ass, would have been a ko in Judah didnt throw that wicked low blow. At 154 PBF landed some good shots got Oscars attention but once Floyd realized he really could not hurt the bigger stronger man he choose a different game plan. Now he has adjusted to the weight. i think Floyd will look his best ever in this fight, Hatton is going to get busted up. I am so sure Floyd will beat Hatton that i will leave the forum if he loses. WHo is confident that Hatton will win, if he loses your off the forum, any takers??
