  • In what fight has Mayweather "ran"?

Since the Baldomir fight all I hear from Floyd haters is that he's a "runner". They always make jokes about him "if it was a marathon he'd win every fight", etc etc. In what fight of his has he RAN from his opponent?

Running is what De la Hoya did in the last 3 rounds agaisnt Tito. Running is what Forrest did in the last moments of round 9 against Baldomir. I find it amusing that a fighter can "run", yet he always outlands his opponents. These people never heard about movement, angles, or apparently BOXING. The definition of the word itself includes movement. Floyd doesn't even jump around in the same place or brisk around the ring, he stands flat footed, moves from side to side, front and back, and moves his head and upper body a lot. How the **** is that "running"?

There is a difference between lateral movement and running. "Running" is what Floyd Mayweather and Corey Spinks do. Lateral movement is what Hopkins and Forrest do. Big difference.

Boxing is something along the lines of what guys like Paul Williams do.. Compare Mayweathers style to his and you will see why they call him what they do.

I just explained in detail why Mayweather doesn't run. Let me repeat - he doesn't skip, he doesn't stand on his toes and jump around the ring, he stands flat footed and moves from side to side. Hell, what Oscar did in the first 9 rounds against Tito is closer to running than what Mayweather does.

Again I ask, if he runs, how does he always outland his opponents? And how does he have 24 KOs?

Yeah or better yet, what Forrest did against Baldomir. That's not running, that's actually boxing and making the fight exciting.

Not trying to frustrate the opponent into losing and being scared of getting hit. That's just defensive garbage nobody wants to see......outside of a complete tool who gets pleasure out of that.

The two words "flat footed" and Mayweather should never be used in the same sentence. Thanks.

I mean he does not stand on his toes. Sure he moves around the ring, but he is not skipping on his toes as many fighters who are labeled runners do.

The casual watcher sees Mayweather's movement as running like he's scared and they get bored from it, people that know about boxing see it as good footwork..

This is the biggest misconception that tough-guy hyper-masculine *******s have about boxing. Someone who is scared of getting hit could never be a proffesional boxer. Mayweather has been hit thousands of times. Has he ever gone down? Has he ever complained of suffering pain because of others punches? How does making it hard for the other boxer to hit you equate to being scared of getting hit? You think if Antonio Margarito or any of the other "warriors" had Mayweather's defensive skills they wouldn't use them?
