    .
Ya know, I think that Genaro, Judah, Chavez, castillo, Corrales, gatti, Corley, Sharmba, Bruseles, and manfredy would disagree with you.

Well you just took the words out of my type by pointing out Roy's risks. That's the key difference, he made fights exciting.

He didn't sacrifice the entire viewer's experience just so that he could get the "W" and was more of a showman than Floyd ever is.

He was able to do that because he was much better then his opponent at the time, GLEN KELLY. He had zero chance of losing because he had the guy beat mentally and physically. Even amateur boxers can sense when a guy is hurt, when a guy is physically beat. That is why Roy did what he did.

People bought Oscar/Floyd because they wanted to see someone beat Floyd, and were putting money on Oscar. Makes sense........boxing is simply better off without a loud mouthed jackass, who has zero respect for anyone, and will never in his life put on a decent boxing show.
Why should he? Last time I checked he was a boxer, not an entertainer. If he's so goddamn boring and unlikeable then why do people go to his fights? People pay money to see boxing because they find it entertaining, however, a boxer's job is not to entertain. It is to win. So what should the fans, critics, etc opinion matter? And why would they NOW most of all, since he is universally regarded as being the best boxer in the world?

what you type NOW makes some sort of sense... (except that there are plenty of fights where Mayweather spends time teeing off his opponent rather than defending himself) to each one his own.

I think that the goal of fighting is winning, not pleasing me or you. I am fine with hugging, clinching, running, rolling, holding... whatever, some fights I enjoy more, some fights I enjoy less. My enjoyment does not take away from the winner (example: I hate Leonard for beating my all time fav fighting like a *****, but I still scored that fight for Leonard).

However Mayweather or any other pro fighters (well, with the possible exception of Camacho after Rosario, who really looked like he did not want to be hit hard ever again) are NOT afraid of getting hit. Some, many of them might be afraid to lose, not of getting hit per se.

                Nice fact-based post.

Forget that fight and answer why he became a boxer. When he decided to box, did he knew he would be better than everyone? How could he hone his skills in sparring if he was so scared to get hit? Why would he come back after consecutive KO losses when he had never even been down before?

Let me just point something out.

I never once, and I mean never questioned Floyd's boxing ability, or the simple fact he's a great fighter. It's just laughable when I point out the fact he isn't aesthetically pleasing to watch fight, he's a disrespectful ******* who attacks random figures in the sport, and people would like to see him off his high horse................I get critiqued.

How much is my opinion worth really? I don't think that much. But everyone seems to think otherwise when I state my two cents on this issue.

                      lol.
