This is a legitimate opponent. People are going to say Ricky was too small if Mayweather wins - but I even heard people saying that Hatton was one of the fighters that would take away, what they considered a blemish on his legacy, of fighting softer opposition since moving up in weight. If Floyd wins, and takes another two fights with big names- I think I would consider the 'gayweather' hate and all that completely unmerited in the least. If Mayweather beats:

Hatton
Cotto
Williams
Mosley

Who the hell else would there be for him to fight at 147? Cintron? I mean...Mosley is a stretch unless he wins against Cotto..and then Cotto may be the name that doesn't fit. At any rate this fight with Hatton is the first step in Mayweather's path to redemption for me. He's fighting a legitimate, undefeated fighter who many are picking to beat him.

I swear on the intricately manicured eyebrows of Miguel Cotto: at some point before Hatton's corner throws in the towel or before the referee or ring doctor stops it, this fight will become Gatti-esque.

Just as Hatton starts to tire badly in the middle rounds, and has become a bit leaden-legged from all the hard shorts upstairs, and is puffy and bleeding, this bout will look like a complete mismatch.

I'm predicting a very merciful round 9 stoppage.

Hatton is one of the fittest fighters on the planet, PBF likes to roll and weave of the ropes when under pressure, Hattons foot speed is also very impressive and will allow him to throw those awesome body shots, the only fighter if you can call him that to wane is PBF cause he will be on his bike for 12 rounds,
Hatton victory, so obvious this fight is a cert for the Manchester 1, who has 20.000 + friends.

Floyd by UD. Hatton ain't on his level. Hatton ain't landing no giant body shots on Floyd. Judah and De La Hoya couldn't hurt Floyd. I doubt Hatton could. Hatton has never faced someone like Floyd. Floyd has faced similiar fighters like Hatton(Chavez, Castillo).

Ye and as we know PBF lost to Castillo, but hey cause Hatton busted him up he was shot, bit like ODH then really, how you guys can tollerate that little fcuk I dont know, we had Naseem and people paid to hope to see him get beat.

Im happy for Hatton because hes gonna get paid. Im upset however that it is against that greedy, ****y running chicken ass PBF. Like I said before. I dont want to see another fight with floyd running for 12 more rounds. He will never get my respect fighting (or talking) like that. This fight will go to decision. Floyd will more than likely win but im hoping he doesnt. Retire already PBF and never come back. Lose all your money ********. This fight is gonna get FAR TOO HYPED over the next four months and then let us all down on fight night. Just like every other fight nowadays.

I think Floyd is immune to body shots. I don't recall wever seinghim being hurt from a body shot. Even DLH had to rips to the body didn't seem to bother Floyd.

I don't think that he is immune to the body shots. It's just that after a round or two of being countered hard upstairs, guys decide that it's a bad idea to attack his body.

Coupled with his Philly shoukder roll and the left bicep that protects the body, that is the reason FMJ hasn't taken a sustained body attack.
