Toney is a bloated fighter. No reason for him to be a 'heavyweight'

Toney deserved a little more of spotlight in his prime but he wasn't as skilled as people think, in his career he fought a lot of nobodies and when he did fight good household names, he always struggled or had very close decisions or lost, Toney's best wins are Jirov and a washed up Holyfield imo..

His best win was Nunn. Maybe its because Im a Toney fan, but I had that fight very close when he stopped Nunn. I hear things like Toney got dominated, and landed a lucky punch. What I saw was Toney slipping Nunn's punches and landing the harder shots. Nunn outworked him early, and then in the eighth round Toney started to take over.

He looked so dominant back in the day. If I was older and was watching the Littles fight, I would have had to say that this guy was on the road to becoming a legend.

His best wins are Nunn and McCullam, Toney is actually underrated, he is an all time great.

the scores for this fight were ridiculously wide if i remember correctly. Toney should have stayed at cruiserweight, the jump to heavyweight ruined him.

he is not underrated too . He is rated like he is.

James Toney fought alot of nobodies but he even fought the good guy in his competition you dont expect a fight to fight world champion and elite fighter on every fight someone must give the poor man chance for others to shine
