It was about time for another Lewis-Vitali II thread. I know this comes from Vitali himself but so did the other 3-4 stories over the last few years. Vitali is always saying Lennox will fight him, I think it's because anytime they are around each other Lennox says it in jest, and Vitali takes it as truth. Blah.

Over/under on the next "Naz is coming back" or "When does Ike get out of jail thread"? That would complete the rotation.

Lewis fought Klitschko in 2003, stopping him in six-rounds due to cuts. Klitschko, who was a late replacement for an injured Kirk Johnson, gave Lewis he could handle in the fight and was leading on the scorecards when ringside physicians felt his cuts were too serious to let him continue with the contest. Lewis retired soon after and a rematch never happened. [details]

Maybe Vitali is just getting under his skin

The rematch may be bigger than the DLH / Mayweather.

                Statement From Lennox
Although I'm flattered that the boxing community is eager to have me back in the ring, I have no plans to return. I have no idea how these rumors get started, but I'm a man of my word - I will remain retired.
I'm happy with my life and I don't need to chase a big payday. I'm enjoying commentating for HBO and I'm keeping busy with business ventures and fatherhood. I'm proud of what I accomplished as champion and confident that my legacy will remain intact.

If they were going to have a rematch it should of happened a few years ago I think people would still tune in to the rematch.
